- This is a comprehensive rules explanation for Sidereal Confluence, an amazing engine-building & negotiation board game. I explain the core rules almost entirely, so you have a complete understanding of how to play the game. Faction-specific special rules can be easily understood once you have the core rules down.

At first I was a little disappointed that you were using diagrams instead of actual components, but it actually ended up being a much better explanation - thanks for this!
Thanks! I felt the same way at first, but after scripting it out I settled on this as the best way to explain it. 😊
Finally, a rules explanation that helps!
Pulled out this game today after not having played it for a couple of years. Was reminded how bad the rule book is, but found this video. One of the best rules explanation vids I've ever seen. Well done
Oh my god, I doubted you at the start. But, I was wrong! this is the best tutorial for a complex game I've ever seen. Not only for SC, but for any game! Thanks for making it.
That's a huge compliment! Thanks!
Bravo! Very clear explanations. Exactly what I needed...
Excellent! I've been looking for a good video on Sidereal and this is the first one that clicks. The flowcharts make it much more valuable than simply a video of a guy explaining it at a table like I will end up in person. I feel confident I can send this to my friends ahead of time for baseline before I can teach.
You digested rules and produced a simply fantastic explainer
Really outstanding explanation/tutorial!
Thank you!! This is the most concise play-through I’ve seen. I might actually be able to get this game on the table now!
Awesome explanation video. So far the best, cleanest and most structured one. Makes SC feel like a brease rulewise :)
This is so helpful! I'm about to join a group that plays and feel much more prepared. Thank you!
Awesome job with the explanation! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Outstanding work! I hope you get the recognition you deserve for this awesome explanation!
super well done rules explanation!! thank you for this!

This is great! Thanks for making this vid. Hopefully (between the new version & it being safer to gather) this gets more love
Great job explaining mate! Cheers
Fantastic tutorial!

Thank you very much, this was very VERY helpful!!!

Great video!
What an amazing teach!!
This is a great teaching guide. Thank you so much for it. Maybe you'll have the chance someday to redo it with the revised edition
Great job!
Thanks!
Excellent
Nicd rules teaching!
Damn, this was such a good teach
High praise! Thanks Jake
Holy smokes I can actually play this game now
A big problem with the rules is the amount of unintuitive terms used. When an uninitiated player hears the term "converter" they have absolutely no idea what to expect. But if they were called factories instead, we could rely on some reasonable assumptions on the part of the new player.
And it definitely doesn't help that in this video, before the 2 minute mark, the same thing gets called 'the community pool' and 'the bank'. And the rulebook calls the same thing two other names, neither of them being the two mentioned in this video.
It would be all kinds of beneficial to just always call it 'the bank', because most people who have played any board game before, are familiar with the board game concept of 'the bank'.
edit: And later in the video 'converters' are being called 'technologies' (which they are, so not a big deal for a player who already knows how to play, but absolutely confusing for a new guy)
Between the name and that overall look...I was expecting a southern accent.
I have no idea how that statement should be taken.....but I said it!
That said...OMFG, make tutorials! You could run a whole channel of this and it WOULD catch on and explode! Hit up some BGG top 50 games, learn them and make this quality of tutorial and you would easily rise to the top!
If I had to present any criticism....maybe greyer background instead of white....that is about it :)
Hey I really appreciate the feedback! Maybe I'll do more of these. Might also try to incorporate some southern drawl....
