People underestimate how confidently stupid Rubin is, there's this clip of him being really proud that he doesn't know what imposter syndrome is in regard to the US army recruitment video. He doesn't actually care about truth of the facts, he is 100% just vibes.
That's like 95% of political opinions, though. Left or right, very few people know any statistics or relevant factual information on a topic before forming an immovable position in it. It's actually hilarious to see them contort into all the different shapes when confronted with data that undermines their view on a subject. Which is particularly funny to me because my reaction to new information is usually "I didn't know that, let me think about how that changed my view" which gets them just as flustered.

Answer this if you’d like: Why would someone who is getting adequate sex from their partner that they like having sex with look for sex with others? In my opinion, this has “novelty” because people use sex as a boon for their self esteem, which is hampered by their insecurities. So, in this scenario, they desire sex from multiple partners to maintain that sense of false self esteem, as one person reaffirming that is 1) not enough reassurance and 2) requires them to get emotionally close to someone, which also seems to be pretty opposite to most open relationships. Destiny is often very cold and distant, which I think proves this. (An example would be him, on more than one occasion, talking to a crying Melina saying “well you can leave, you’d be hurt if you leave, but i would be fine.” The only reason you’d say this is to maintain emotional distance)

Nah not necessarily. I was thinking the same thing before but I think I disagree now. The cameras are more of a metaphor that readers can grasp. In reality, surveillance/authoritarian states have existed many times in the past and almost all of them have been done without cameras.
