- A few cars from the days when form was definitely more important than function. This is the 1920s and 30s idea of what the future would look like. All of the images in this photo montage have been sourced from the public domain. The Post Moderne look is a style of Art Deco that hits you in the face.

If I had the finances to make cars, I would bring Art Deco back. It’s so incredible looking. It’s fun for the eyes
WORKS OF SUPREME ART. BUT PROBABLY IMPRACTICLE---BUT THAT'S WHY THEY SURVIVED, NOT MANY WERE USED MUCH.
With modern n tech added
I’m 60 years old and I haven’t felt this way looking at pictures since I was 16 and looking at a playboy magazine for the first time! These vehicles are incredible. They represent the pinnacle of auto manufacturing. It’s sad to see the boxes we drive around in now!
An absolute delight for both the eyes and ears, wonderful cars, wonderful sound track.!
The Cord 810/812 Phaeton is my all time favorite car. I wish i could afford one.
These are streamline monderne cars. Beautiful, I'd take them all.
You’re absolutely right spot on was going to comment the same
To this Frenchman the best styling, hands down, is that of the Cord. I especially like the 810 convertibles.
dmcalut I really like the bugatti type 57 aerolithe.
Very good video - only wish you would have included identifying captions to the various vehicles.
Love the cars! Love the tune!

Damn, those pop up headlight placements just tingle that designer side of me. And the grill! Oh god the grill!
It's just too much 👍
My favorite car of all time behind a 1963 Corvette split window.
Holy mother of God some of these cars look sexy.
Beautiful!!!
beaucoup de voiture française merci
Loooove the Muuuuzek too man 😀👍👍👍
Goes by the name of Jazz. Try Illinois Jacquet Sextet 'Harlem Nocturne
Really need to identity these beautiful automobiles
Class acts!
incredible
❤️
😮🙂‼️👍
👏👏👏👌👌👌
And every year they came out with a new model and the car companies still made money , they weren’t so filthy greedy
My Dad (RIP) was a partner is an auto dealership, and I remember him covering the windows of the showroom when new models were introduced. Customers would line up at the door to see the new models!
Love the Tatra T87. Yeah, I'm weird.
Quite a few turned up in Austria past WW II. The Czechs must have had a great hiding place for them. Would you believe there is an Australian car among them, named the 'EfiJay' at 5.20. Built by GM Holden craftsmen, styled after the 1952 Holden 'FJ'. Quite a performer..
These are the Streamline Moderne version of Art Deco - just wanted to point that out. - Personally, I prefer the cleaner, tighter lines of the teens and twenties Art Deco styling.
Warum sind die meisten Fahrzeuge nicht benannt?
Einer war vom Rummel. Aber sonst - wunderschöne dabei.
Sorry you didn’t identify the individual cars, and leave them longer so I could appreciate them.
Pause button?
I wish they made scale model car kits of these! Any idea if someone does?
No idea, but what a fantastic build they would be.
@@thra5herxb12s absolutely agree! I cannot believe in this age of 3d printing everything that someone somewhere hasn’t come up with something..or even model kit makers…seems like an underserved market.
maybe the car designers now should slow down and take a little pride in how the cars they design will show their talent.
Ghotam city
Not a straight line to be seen! And, nearly all those forms were hand hammered, not stamped!
Doesnt say what they are
These aren't art deco, more streamline moderne
Streamline moderne is a 1930s style of Art Deco
I agree. Streamline moderne stresses sweeping horizontal lines suggesting motion, even while at rest. Art deco stresses vertical development and ornate accents.
also art deco didn't have a name until long after (IIRC in the 70s). art deco was part of the 1920-1950 art moderne wave.
