I've been following "everything China" for almost 2 years, all the Chinese news channels I've found, expat Vloggers living in China, I've been studying Chinese economy, it's incredible economic, scientific, technological and social advances. It's all mindblowing.
I've been following geopolitics and geoconomics closely for more than 10 years and as far as China is concerned, one TED Talk that impressed me was "Eric X. Li: A tale of two political systems" from 2013. After I watched it, I watched interviews with him and it helped me to think that probably the most relevant reasons that China has been so successful is the "one party" system, the right mix of socialism and capitalism, Deng Xiaoping's and Xi Jinping's visionary qualities, etc, etc...
What I want to get is some ideas about a video that you might be the right person to do...

As a Chinese living in the U.K. for the past 20 years, I have witness the decline of the U.K. and the rising of China, so proud my hometown Shanghai has got back to the former glory within one generation. Haven’t been home for over a year due to COVID, don’t even want to discuss how bad U.K. government has handled the pandemic, it only depresses me further. I really can’t wait to get home and hug my family and friends. Thanks so much for the beautiful shot, it means a lot to all overseas Chinese during this most difficult period of time.

I left the UK 8 years ago, been here in HK since then and will move to China next month. UK Government should be ashamed of its handling of the pandemic. All they needed to do was copy what China did and all these people would not have died. China and Chinese people are where its at.
I have lived in China for the past 15 years ( Fuzhou to be exact ) . The transformation and modernization of this city within that time period is truly unbelievable .

@@MichelePonte Thanks Michele! My knowledge of filming or taking pictures consists of having a Kodak 110 cartridge camera years ago. Today I have an iPad Pro and the new iPhone 12 Pro Max. If I recall correctly, you are not an Apple fan. I prefer it because of it’s ease of use. As for editing, you may just as well speak Polish to me, because I know absolutely nothing about either one, I do however know that based on your comments in the past, editing is the most time consuming. You just continue editing my friend, and I will continue enjoying! 👍

Even Xi’an is not on this list, it is not that rich economically, but it is rich culturally. Actually many Chinese cities are improved dramatically in the past decades.

There are too many "big name" cities in China, just too many to fit into a "top 10"... Xi'an, Tianjin, Nanjing, almost all provincial capitals, several ancient capitals in Henan province... Like you hear the names of those cities A LOT because they have been historically relevant for several millenniums, but sadly not everyone can squeeze into the top 10... Having said that, all the cities on this list are also "big names" too, either having a very long and iconic history or have been iconic for specific eras of Chinese history, even recent cities like Shanghai, Shenzhen, or Hong Kong are undoubtedly "big names" among newer cities. I guess, none of them are "surprise entries".
Every city has its rich culture, yet Xian does have a lot of ancient history.

@@Skooms_Twitch Nope, they are not, They are pretty much a normal building you'd see in New York for example, but much more cooler, You're acting like those lights are nothing, almost 80% of LED lights are made in China, so why wouldn't they use it, Besides, almost every City is like that in China, When you look at USA, there are only a few states that are actually cool, My most favorite cities are Tokyo and Singapore, But what makes me think China also has the best cities, it's because they are beautiful, almost all of them are cool, and safe, especially at nights, and If you're saying that those aren't amazing, ur just an Ignorant American who always listens to the media

Deng tasked President Xi's father to plan and develop Shenzhen 40 years ago. they setup up a free trade zone there. they implemented the new trade policies there. if it worked, they implemented it nationwide, if it didn't, they tinkered with it and made it worked. this is what Deng referred to as feeling the stones when you cross the river.

Chongqing was brave 20 years ago to take a large and very poor area from Sichuan to help the region develop and prosper.
I'm Shanghainese but I like Chongqing sceneary, despite the too spicy foods that I can not afford, haha.
I love Sichuan because my favorite poets were both from there: Li Bai and Su Donpo. Besides my favorite animal pandas chose to live there.

The criteria for getting into the top-10 is pretty high when you consider that cities like Tianjin, Qingdao, Shenyang, Xi'an, Nanjing all fail to make the cut. By the end of this decade, it's likely that all cities at rank 20 and above will have GDPs at least as large as Singapore.
Nanjing is No.10 in the mainland though.

这老外的数据有点问题，国家统计局的数据，2020 重庆GDP25002.79亿，增速3.9%，广州GDP25019.11，增速2.7%，重庆的增长率更高，不出意外的话2021年重庆就是第四的位置，不过今年可喜的是重庆超过了香港，我们大陆的城市要加油，把香港挤出前十的位置，目前香港排第六，香港2020年GDP大概23000亿人民币，排香港之后的是苏州2020GDP20170.5亿，还有一段距离，看5年内苏州能超过香港吧。
