Have you tried to boil different kinds of dried fruits in orange liqueur like Cointreau. Set the on a side and prepare you cake. Then add the mix of fruits that have been soaked in liquor in the cake mix. There is such a big difference and the taste is great…😊😊😊
I hate raisins, but I will definitely try this with dried cranberries dredged with powdered sugar (since they can be very tart) and orange zest because it pairs so well with cranberries.
