Kim Jones is Creative Director of the Fendi Womenswear and it’s Silvia Venturini Fendi that is creative director of Menswear & Accessories. The only family member still working there. She designed the Baguette, The Peekaboo & the Soft Trunk. I love all 3 so think she’s a genius! She hasn’t bought out a few versions I wanted also, so I understand your frustration, especially at these prices (although Fendi isn’t as ludicrously priced as some)

Oh the tiles! The bag itself is bad enough but the strap is a visual effing travesty. What is remotely elegant about it? It's an embarrassment.

Connor you are an A-grade ranter and that talent needs to be put to other causes!
Also not intending to add to the general misery and despair, but the Fendi staff may well have been offered those bags in a samples sale and someone picked them up on the cheap.
Like there is always a sale of the samples in fashion (usually size 10 or whatever the in house model is), there is also a samples sale of bags, belts you name it.
Fun fact: an American socialite Nan Kempner actually cried because she couldn't afford to buy the samples on offer. I think it was at Christian Dior, and he was so taken by her commitment of flying to Paris especially to buy the samples, and her total grief and despair that he actually gifted her some of them(!).
So Connor the alternative is to up the ante on the obsession... fly to Rome Fendi HQ and cry "but I've come all the way from Australia ...where is the...[insert bag name and description].
Then if they refuse you they really are cruel and deserving of your contempt.
