Eventually I'll have to get this, hopefully before I die. I was a volunteer firefighter for 15 years and in those years I held numerous positions . Vice President, Superintendent of Alarms, Assistant Engineer Station Photographer and Fire Inspector.
This truck has an amazing backstory when it was first built in 1999 ST 99006 it responded to the world trades center along with engine 33 and it was damage, and the door of ladder 9 burned off so the chassis had to be removed and put it on a 2001 truck but the 1999 boom and tower was rebuilt onto it thus ST01007 was born
Fantastic build and yes I think companies should do one on planes and a F1 car. If I was subscribed to build a model like the fire truck I would had liked to build Nico Rosberg 2016 world championship winning Mercedes AMG Petronas. Saying that 2018 F1 car Mercedes would be nice to build.
Hi Wayne, I know you were so happy yesterday about no mistakes on this build, but .... I think when you put the platform on the white pipe should have joined up to the pipe from the ladder section ... 4:19 seems to show it really well
@@WorldofWayneUK it looked like they should slot together to create a continuous pipe, at the point I mentioned they were next to eachother, not the pistons, I assume it's the hose
This is a beautiful model! And an excellent build! Even more with the diorama! I can't wait to start building this! The Fire Stations in my area are going to be thrilled! My only disappointment is that the ladder mechanism is not motorized. To tick it up another notch - a Fireman's radio for a remote! (Chloe / Mike Lane . . umm??) Well Done, Wayne! Well done!! 👏👏
Beautiful work and really an outstanding model 👍 As I’ve read in one post, somebody mentioned that although being a great model, it still looks like a toy, given, for example, the screws used on the telescope boom. Personally I put the functionality of the truck first, instead of the look, anyway even with the „unscale-ish“ screws, it still looks great 🤩 I wish I would’ve been able to make my selfmade towerladder a bit more „usable“ like this one😂 BUT! One thing though bothers me extremely with this rig, why on earth did they put this ugly, toyish lightbars on??😱😱 From all the possibilities out there, why those, not even real existing, flashing plastic parts?? That is what in my opinion destroys the over all appearance of the truck🥺
Hey Wayne as mentioned by another subscriber, stagec62 parts the water way connector when added and then the hydrolic pistons added ,as you connected the basket to the part you just did as well as putting the pistons in ,didn't you also have to connect the water way part to the pipe on the underside of the basket too?
This was fun, now I am on pack 8 doing a second one and correcting my mistakes. One problem though, and I am probably the only person that has done this; how do you get super glue off the nice red finish on the doors and other places? Goo Be Gone does not work and I have no idea how to use buffing pads if that is a possible way. Please help. Thank you
Thank you Wayne, you always have the answers. Now I have to go tell my wife that World of Wayne told me to take everything out of the deep freezer so I can put my almost complete 2 fire truck in there. It is not me, he told me to do this.
Excellent build Wayne. Really enjoyed watching it. Even found today's deliberate mistake, the T shaped connector is meant to join up with the water pipe in stage 71😀.
Just one question, Should there be two 'traffic' cones? There does seem be be a space for another one on the driver's side . Now that it is finnished it looks really good!
not a firefighter; but I've seen a few FDNY fire trucks on you tubes and in games; (EmergeNYC) most of time they just have one stack...but it's rare that only one unit is called out so most of the time they'll have plenty of traffic cones to manage traffic at fire scenes.
It's been a month of finishing stuff this month already Wayne. This fire engine looks fantastic. The siren might be a rare button to press if I had it though.
Hey Wayne love the video. I don't know if you fixed it or it it is suppose to be like this but on the build, under the basket you put in 2 white tube. Is thr one tube suppose to go inside the other tube?

It does. It connects to the base of the platform. The pipes we already installed in the top platform route to this

I'm surprised one of these companies hasn't done a Boeing 747 and the Airbus A380. Those would be huge models.

The cheap looking plastic bits detract imo..the wipers and those chunky fake lights!
