Brilliant, couldn’t find any videos with pipe work that looked similar to ours… I was literally shaking when I attempted it but pressure is now topped up - grateful for the advice 👍😀
Oh my gosh life saver been calling the council for 2 days was sat on the fone when I started watching this cut the call while I was talking because I had fixed the problem myself... thanks for this video
Merry xmas hope you habe a wonderful many many xmas now and in future, i was at work, i work in logistics came home boiler not workimg due to low or no pressure after. Watching this i managed to fix it and got heating back on, on xmas day today, i had no chance without this video, and on xmas day no bkdy would come out either, many many thanks
Looking from front left to right my Ideal logic S2 S24 system boiler only has 5 holes that takes copper pipes, Positions 1, 3 and 5 have copper pipes to them but No 2 and No 4 holes have grey blank caps fiited, I just wondered why that would be and how I could alter the pressure seeing as I have no pipe adjacent to the valve on pipe No 5 which has the blue tap on it ?
The world record for a prompt reply goes to the above.Thank you, Yes I do have an external hot water cylinder, there is what looks like a loop with a black valve with numbers along the length of it which probably indicates the pressure. PS: just had another look, there is a loop between pipes 1 and 5 about 2 foot below the bolier and thats where the pressre valve/guage I mentioned is situated.
No you can do it when the boiler is switched on. The ideal way to top up pressure is to make the heating is off and cool then add pressure, check any radiators that might need venting then recheck pressure and top up as required.

Glad it could help.
Thanks very much for this video, my water was not heating up I had no pressure in the boiler and this video helped me solve the issue. Cheers 😀👍.
Your welcome
Easiest help yet. Thanks
Thank you very much! Sorted me out on a cold morning. Hope you're all well.

You must have a system boiler with an external hot water cylinder. There will be a filling loop by the cylinder with a pressure gauge on it.

@@Billswillstill that’s the one.
Does the boiler have to be switched to Boiler Off when doing this?

@@smartboilercompany1983 cool thanks for that
Thank you for your help. Easy to follow problem solved
Video is very detailed didn’t work for me though when I turned valve water started leaking from pipes thanks anyway
Hi, should the pressure top up be done when the boiler is on/working or off?
Ideally top up the pressure when the boiler is off and radiators are cold.
@@smartboilercompany1983 Many thanks
Ive tried this over and over not working
I just done this but no difference in pressure
If the pressure is not moving you either have a blocked pressure gauge or you are loosing water out the system somewhere
What if i put maximum?
To reduce pressure you can bleed a radiator into a bowl for a few minutes until pressure is reduced
