You know, Zumasu taking Gohan's body instead definitely would hit harder for Trunks. Your mentor and father figure is now causing death and destruction to everyone you love.
it's actually even worse too because gohan's always had more potential than goku did so if zamasu discovered that potential he'd be even stronger than he originally was Imagin if he went rose it'd be like fighting beast gohan much earlier

Vegeta being selfless instead of selfish is what won them the ToP since he gave up and entrusted everything to Goku, including his own energy. Gohan unlocked Beast because his “soft bleeding heart” was in pain seeing his mentor get hurt. So Gohan is on the right path he just needs to work harder simply.

Honestly Gohan Black would have made WAY more sense than Goku.
Considering he has TONS of power and potential, but doesn't like fighting.
And the emotional traumatic baggage it'll give to Trunks and Goku because he has to fight the body of his own son who has a history of surpassing him on a regular basis when he needs to seeing his body being used as a meat puppet by a psychopath would've infuriated Goku especially hearing how Zamasu killed him, Chi-Chi, Goten, Videl, and Pan with his body

I think it wouldve been really cool if they let you play out the Mafuba, like if they made it kinda like a QT event, you had to control the mafuba and manually seal zamasu away instead of it being a cutscene.

Vegetto wasn't enough, they needed help from Future Zeno which resulted in not only erasing Zamasu but Trunks entire Reality.
This outcome may not be canon but definitely a better one than in the original script.

Oh my gosh. This is the scariest and coolest what-if scenario ever. I’ve always pondered how strong Zamasu would’ve been if he took over the body of a “potential man” like Gohan or Broly, with his godly soul and ability to exploit Zenkai boosts which allowed him to become strong enough to not even require his Super Saiyan Rosé form in most fights in Goku’s body. If he took over Gohan’s body, he easily could’ve become a God of Destruction level threat. And Gohan’s VA did a great job voicing Gohan Black, props to him.
Tbh, i would be really scared if he took Broly's body. Imagine having practically unlimited ki, being adaptated fast to the opponent's fighting style (Broly is really good on that) while at the same time having Zamasu's fighting technique, the insane durability Broly has, and even worse, Zenkai boosts with a saiyan mutant body. Dude would be practically unstoppable.

Zamasu was pretty much the Aizen/Xehanort of the DBZ series, even if his intellect is not quite on par with them.
He was still the most menacing villain in the series as Goku and friends couldn't beat him without resorting to calling Zeno for help and entire Universe.

I love how the Evil Containment Wave actually worked this time because Gohan had the seal. Highlights the huge difference of intelligence between him and Goku.
Gohan in his Ultimate Form, beating Golden Frieza was something I did not expect to ever happen. And as a Gohan Fan, I am so happy about this one. Sparking Zero really cooked : )
I can't get enough of these "what ifs" scenarios, there just so dope 🔥🔥🔥, and this one is no exception. Having Gohan and Future Trunks as the main characters is both fitting and poetic in a way. It symbolizes the passing of the torch to the next generation, while Goku and Vegeta act as mentors, very good concept.
This may not be canon but certainly well received, especially putting into account that Gohan was originally planed to be the protagonist of the DBZ instead of Goku.
It's a video game, if anyone's seriously still got canon in their minds they'd really love Budokai 2 and Budokai 3 from 20 years ago. 😅

Gohan is a scholar, Goku is a bumpkin with ADHD. Gohan would never ignore the instructions from his Master Piccolo. Goku has a short attention span and can't remember small details, so him forgetting the seal while annoying fits his goofy nature.

Then you get Gohan Black who used the ultimate form tap into his full potential as a God dude this guy is stronger than Super Saiyan Blue if not way stronger with Gohan's potential.
It's kinda unrealistic though, since this is a Gohan who still weaker than his Buu arc version. Since he's just regain his Ultimate, he should still weaker than the power he had when he fought Buu.
Frieza being locked at a Ultimate Gohan level isn't a bad thing, i guess. Six months to jump from SSJ1 Namek Saga power levels to Buu Saga for someone like Frieza seens reasonable

Ultimate has been SSB level since the ToP in canon, here in the game after defeating Freeza he trains more and defeats Hit when Goku originally needed KK and then he fights toe to toe with fused Zamasu so it makes sense

Take this with a grain of salt, but they might still add a choice in this sceneration with the Option of Gohan entering Beast form.

The devs really took advantage of the fact on how the fans are making the most out of the Multiverse introduced by Future Trunks. These devs are real Dragon Ball fans 🙌
And unlike that fan-made comic Multiverse, it isn’t as contrived and overdone with the gore-fest. Along with the played-out same characters in different designs. Xenoverse has much better ring to it in my opinion.

Sadly Bandai be stingy with the DragonBall Heroes content despite the fact they freaking own it so no licensing problems the only issue I can think of is they believe it'll lead to a floodgate of fans asking for more content from Heroes when this game atleast is supposed to be a game focusing DragonBall/Z/GT/Super

19:34 I think Gohan Black's new form should be called Ultimate God after using his own Divine Ki (Zamasu's) to combine with the Ultimate form when his hair color doesn't change but the aura changed into his own aura (purple/pink), unlike SSJ Rose that is the combination of SSJ and Zamasu's Divine Ki when Zamasu's using Goku's body from the Main Story.

I'm very glad that they listened to what the fans have been wanting to see happen. There was a couple of videos for the past 8 years, about what if the villain had been Gohan Black, instead of why we got in Dragon Ball Super. This is exactly what should have happened in Dragon Ball Super, when the Future Trunks saga premiered during 2016. After the saga ended that November, the fans that the villain should have been Gohan Black. I think we all agree that Future Trunks would've had a much more difficult time trying to fight against his old master and best friend. I'll never understand why Gohan didn't go with Future Trunks, Goku and Vegeta to help them take down Goku Black. I hope to see a story that tells us "What if Cell joined the TOP?".

0:00 Honestly, the idea of Super being more about Gohan again should have been done. While Goku can be placed in the background training off-Earth with Vegeta we could get slice-of-life mixed with battles on Earth. Every other arc we could focus on Goku again: Battle Of Gods, Tournament of Universe 6 & 7, and Moro.
So a goku and gohan show, I wouldn't be mad at it.

Okay I know this game had some crazy what ifs, but I didn't expect this at all. Gohan Black? Using a dark version of Potential Unleashed? Fused Zamasu having shorter hair?! Man. This is wild.
Honestly it makes more sense for Zamasu to target Gohan rather than Goku. Goku is a fight happy fool who surpassed the Gods in strength, but Gohan is a mortal that can keep up with said fool while not training nearly as much and with basically limitless potential by comparison.
