Hey I’m in a weird phase where I don’t feel like myself. I’m not able to make high dive saves, it’s not that I can’t do the technique, I’ve done it before just what’s happening now is that I get a mental block that stiffens my body from even plunging into a save. I lost a game yesterday because I let in shots that on my best day, I would get to them 10/10. I need help and I’m lost. Any advice would help
I understand this and it seems to be a bit of a confidence thing. You are putting too much pressure on yourself meaning your failing to perform as you should. Try to relax and enjoy playing the game again rather than forcing yourself to play. Have a kickabout with your friends and try to not think about your mistakes but just focus on having fun. Boost your confidence and try to relive pressure before games. Come into games with a positive mind and you will come out of it positively. It seems like your mistakes overshadow the good parts of the game even though there are less of them. Forget the mistakes as soon as they happen and focus on your next touch and pass and compliment yourself on these smaller stuff.
