    Thanks, my biggest problem was to find the exit holes for pushrods to the elevator and rudder. Made it thanks to this video.

    I've purchased the ultra stick 10cc after watching a few RUclips videos I've decided on a DLE 20 RA with 16x8 prop can't wait to get it finished going to be my regular flyer and hopefully awesome :)

    Looks like you guys had fun, unfortunately as a beginner I found the Build section not very explanatory and three building at one time confusing as to what was being done and why. Maybe leave out the infomercial and have a more to the point video. Thanks for the effort though. Guys in the club have several and it will be my next plane.

    Now this is the build video I like to see. Lots of detail; like when the 6s lipo wouldn't fit with the battery tray in place. I left mine out and the lipo fit right in.

    Great video. Just bought one! After watching Ali's video of the flight talk for this, that was enough to convince me! Thank you very much for this. Keep up the great vids

      @@horizonhobby As Ali already knows, I have six of these H9 Ultra Sticks which includes a low wing conversion and a twin .46 unit. An incredibly strong airframe and the envelope to fly as a trainer to a full aerobat. Highly recommended. Mike from Croydon in the UK.

    I was hoping you would use the manual to build this plane. With three guys all acting independent of each other it looks like the manual was thrown out and it’s difficult to watch each guy do his thing. Step one in the manual says to remove the ailerons and attach the control horns. In your video, one guy is attaching the tail planes, one other guy is assembling the landing gear and the third guy works on the ailerons.

    Very nice film, but where do I find the film from the phone?

    Any chance you guys will release a 60cc designed version?
    I already own both the 30cc and 10cc Ultra Sticks. Bigger is better!

    Hi. I used Epoxy 15 minutes for installing the tail & stabilizer (tonight). Do you think I was wrong ? Manual says to use Epoxy 30 minutes. Best Regards.

      Nope, you will be fine. We used 5-minute in this video :).

    55:41 just to confirm, can you run the Avian 60 AMP ESC with the Power 52.

    • @horizonhobby
      @horizonhobby  3 года назад

      It has worked thus far on this one, but an 80-amp variant may suit the plane better! We were probably pushing the limit with the 60, but we shot an entire flight episode with it installed: ruclips.net/video/ZqPA8fyLBh8/видео.html

    I wish more time had been spent discussing the build steps. On my Ultra the propeller in the HH suggested area for the Ultra will not fit the spinner, the hole in the propeller is too small. I drilled it out to make it fit.

    Cool to see a speed build. Sad to see elec motors go in balsa planes. I always associate balsa and nitro/gas engines. Elec is great for getting people started and learning I understand, but once your into balsa you shouldn't be a beginner anymore.

    Phil Kraft in the 1960s built the first Stik from a pile of wood in a day. He stopped for Sunday lunch with his family. He didn't even have CA.

      It wasn't recorded how long he took to produce the drawing, but I can well imagine that's what he did on the previous day.
