I noticed during live broadcast, many commented that Russians are playing on Kazakhstan Team. The Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Turkmen etc were the people of former USSR before the Cold War. Now they have their own identity. Coach Rishat is superb in volleyball game strategy. He had many experiences dealing international players while coaching Dinamo Ak Bars.

I just found most of the players this time are the first time playing AVC challenger cup, that’s very impressive and potential-talented team in future. It makes sense that they were having that much of errors. If some players like Canino/Laure/Sharma/Nisperos/Gandlers, they can go to the foreign league which would definitely elevate them and gain more experience. It would be an intensive tournament in the upcoming years. Also, Jia De Guzman and Head Coach are the key men. Without them, this young team wouldn’t make it here.
You can see the intimidating height of the Kaz, compared with the petite filipinas.. being tall is an edge on this game.. no effort to jump as high as you can and our players did the best they can .. well done Philippines… you did well…. Enjoying the game ….
Your team reach the semis Just because you are the Host. The crowd is team Phillipines biggest advantage. Many other teams who were played well got disqualified to semis.

Great way in winning 3 sets against Philippines. Kazakhstan is a country in Central Asia whose capital is Astana. So they are called Kazakhs now(as a country) NOT Russians. Based statistically, almost half Kazakh players above 5000 on world rankings and Anarkulova is at # 361. Philippine players make too much errors on the floor. Coach Jorge make some changes by deploying other players to gain momentum but still not enough. Coach Rishat knows what's the best on his players by countering the set plays. Setter Irina make Sana Anarkulova hits well on the ball. Will the Kazakhs get their revenge on the Viets tomorrow? Let's wait and see.

Some of the strategies of team KAZ against PHI 1. Isolate the blockers 2. Place the ball stronger and farther to make it harder to set Speed and height is a big plus in volleyball... But PHI stayed close even if KAZ has a lot of the advantages...

I've watched a lot of Kazakhstan games, they hit the ball very fast, and they're really good at defending the ball quickly..that's what the Philippines team lacks.. but i enjoyed the game.. mga kababayan ko d pa tpos ang laban❤❤❤❤
Yung impression ko dito is sayang talaga walang Solomon/Brooke. Maganda sanang diagonal si Brooke and Angel Canino with Solomon as the opposite. Isa pa is talagang need nila ulit si Alohi kasi kapag backline ang mga hitters, talagang setter ang kakayod sa blocking plus she is a very experienced setter, minamagic niya ang mga low set sa 6'3 niyang height. Na cha-challenge talaga si sisi sa tall blockers.
For the first time watching Kazakhstan play, they are as tall as the Russians. They forced the serve a lot, made few mistakes, their height helped them to be superior in blocking, they played a perfect game. The Philippines needs to force their serve more, pay attention to their defenses and know how to exploit their opponents' blocks. This is what the Japanese do when they play against teams with an average height greater than theirs.

Yung impression ko dito is sayang talaga walang Solomon/Brooke. Maganda sanang diagonal si Brooke and Angel Canino with Solomon as the opposite. Isa pa is talagang need nila ulit si Alohi kasi kapag backline ang mga hitters, talagang setter ang kakayod sa blocking plus she is a very experienced setter, minamagic niya ang mga low set sa 6'3 niyang height. Na cha-challenge talaga si sisi sa tall blockers.
