I saw Eurhythmics twice. The first time was at the Beverly theater in Los Angeles. I went alone because I was the only one I knew that loved their first two major releases. Even from behind the closed curtains at the beginning of the performance, they took over the consciousness of the audience with light and sound, and when the curtains parted, the band was jamming in full force. At one point, Ms. Lennox came dancing out in her Scottish plaid pants suit, and proceeded to completely dominate the audience for the next hour and a half. It was a mesmerizing, spellbinding performance, and I have never forgotten it.
More years have passed since this recording that the total years of their career when this was recorded. Yet at the time it felt like such a comeback and a goodbye. I wish they would do it all again. They are what the world, and what music, and what I, need right now.

I just went searching for this for the same reason. Was lucky to have been there thanks to the kindness of a friend who had two passes and took me along. From what I've heard Annie has terrible stage fright. You'd never know from what we've seen over the years but it was clear here. Thank you for posting this!!!!
