Really enjoyed this episode. I especially liked showing us how to rig some of the baits. I think pro fisherman like you understand free rigging, Texas rigs etc but I would bet lots of your customers don't know what these rigs are. Since that part is critical pls show more of exactly how you do this. Great videos!
For us long time veiwers the intro is just enough time to either grab a beer, smoke a bowl or grab a snack whichever you fancy lol good to see Griff back although its always a heater!
Man, I wish I would have seen this before going to pleasant last night. They were busting bait but I could not get them to connect with anything. Griff is the man!
Thank you an excellent presentation. I appreciate the demonstrations in the water feature. Easy to visualize haw the lure will perform in our murky AZ lakes.
Yoooooo Griff my guy! A man after my own 💚, I can't believe how close our fishing styles are. I fish a lot of the same rigs and baits lol it's kinda cool to be able to relate but that hover shot also works good with the hook rigged to the side of the bait to get a better side to side glide to the bait
I bet the shadtail would be awesome as a vertical presentation on one of those decoy belly weighted hooks where you can move the weight backwards so it will fall horizontally
haha been doing hover strolling for a minute now but I use a swim jig or ewg hook to a Berkley power wiggler. An only reason I use that setup is cause thats what Kenta Kimura uses or he uses that maxscent paddle tail and does the hover strolling that way I think its great for suspended bass as well.
@@gstixfishing9746 so it’s really just a difference in weight. If you’ve got a half ounce nail weight into your hover straw and fish shit super deep, you’re doing the same thing as a damiki
Been slaying trout on the 2” shadtail on the zappu bredy. Reminds me of the Keitech easy shiner. Haven’t tried it on it panfish or bass yet but I bet it’ll slay.
The nomasi gill. You can actually straight retrieve an it's like one of those real subtle baits. Killed it today on it. Slow an steady retrieve aggressive hits
I have been using both 3/0 and 4/0 with unrealistic success. They may seem small but I can say from experience they are not going to nip this bait, if they are going to hit it its because they WANT that suckered. You can tell because they pretty much always eat it head first so you can get away with a smaller hook than you would think. I have had great success with it on a shakey head or football head. Good luck
I fish those larger Namazu on a shaky head believe it or not- you have to find a wide gap shaky head but it works. You just bounce them along bottom and they look like a little catfish foraging. Tbh I would rather have a ball head but I can't find a large enough one for the big ones. I'm thinking maybe a swing head jig would work to- if you wanted to fish them on bottom. Never thought about a free rig- I'll try it, but I need the smaller ones I think for that. I bet they would work weightless on an ewg to- or a belly weighted swimbait hook.
I fish a river and in the current I saw a injured little white bass swimming on the surface and it looked just like that silent killer. A 6 lb spot came up and annihilated it.
I'm in Maine. No gobies in my home lake but we have sculpin, very small catfish not sure what species, and cusk which also looks very much like a catfish. They really smash it.

That Griff guy knows what he's talking about.
Yes!
ehh.
He also seems to be able to pop lock pretty well.
@@thehookuptackle_usa I kept picturing griff with glow sticks when he was demonstrating the movement of the soft baits.
The shad tail is pretty " neat".
Griff thanks for mentioning the Nishine Namazu. That free rig catches those fish.
Thanks for the Griff fix !
Awesome quivering tail on that Namazu...killer
Man, I wish I would have seen this before going to pleasant last night. They were busting bait but I could not get them to connect with anything. Griff is the man!
Those bait busters can be so frustrating! but so addicting!
I’d add the Jackall Nagisa to the i-motion list. I caught a lot of fish on it this fall. The trout love it too, I even caught a small coho on it.
That employee at 6:34 almost walked in and lost their job lol
Thank you an excellent presentation. I appreciate the demonstrations in the water feature. Easy to visualize haw the lure will perform in our murky AZ lakes.
Thanks for sharing Ben and Griff.
“F*ck, gimme the stupid catfish”. Lol
Thanks guy's. I love getting the info...Gotta try that beer your always drinking...
That's a must!
it's so refreshing to hear you pronounce "keitech" properly...omg so frustrating but kudos to you, man~
Karashi works great in small rivers and creeks to catch multiple species. I’ll have to get more when in stock.
Great video!! Keep up the Outstanding work!!
Nice one guys!!! Let's win this one for the Griff!!
Have y’all used the imakatsu i roller 70 ? I just got a couple

Just finished the video and saw the vertical presentation thing at the end lol
Aye thanks for the content Griff is on point 👉
Thank you for watching!
Eyes still bloodshot🙌🏼🙌🏼 put griffs sun glasses on🤣
Maybe I should get some of Griff's sleep.

How does hover strolling work differently from something like a damiki rig? Just lighter and more finesse?
The hover strip works best in the upper portion of the water column while the families is more of a deeper technique
@@gstixfishing9746 so it’s really just a difference in weight. If you’ve got a half ounce nail weight into your hover straw and fish shit super deep, you’re doing the same thing as a damiki
@@jamesh7469 a 1/2oz nail weight? Also the giver stroll is designed for casting and the Damiki is pretty much strictly a vertical technique
Great info as usual. 👍
Is the silent killer 115 lip removable? if you add weights you could make it a slide swimmer and get two baits for the price of one
Yes it is removable. And in theory, yes you could add weight and have a slide swimmer.
What are you throwing the 115 on? Thank you Griff
The Deep Tracer is like a Tokyo Rig for glide baits 👍👍
What happened to the ryugi hover shot hooks?
I got some of the picro, would you just slow roll it ?

What size hook do u use for the catfish?

3/0-4/0 infini is a great option
You guys are great at marketing... Some guys aren't as articulate as you are.😂😂😂
Largemouth trainwreck Bullhead Catfish here in TVA water . I'd like to try that Namazou bait on a 1/2 oz swing head jig .
How heavy do you go on the deep tracer for the silent killer 115?
Every time I watch one of you're videos I spend money lol
I need all of those thanks guys 👍
dome dang good baits I like the catfish baits on a ned head
Griff like the ned head rigging also.
That iWaver 60 helped me win the AZ urban derby at PIR last weekend. It’s legit.
I’ve found dead bass with catfish stuck in their throats. The cats lock their 3 sharp spines and bass can’t get them down.

If you are looking for a ball head try the decoy switch head as it gives you the option to add your own hook and comes in many sizes
Noooooooo…. Don’t talk about the hover stroll!
No one will listen anyway 😂🤟
Hey I'm wearing the same shirt as you guys! Lol
Boom! Hell yeah!
i love your videos bc i learn a ton... i hate your videos bc i spend a ton
LOLOL
Can you please post under water videos of swimbaits and conventional baits 🙏🏼
iMotion baits are killer is small ponds and creeks, have had multiple 200+ fish days just walking down the bank of and kayaking small creeks.
I fish a river and in the current I saw a injured little white bass swimming on the surface and it looked just like that silent killer. A 6 lb spot came up and annihilated it.
Madtoms man!! river smallies luv em. If you think that one makes no sense, you should see em on my favorite bait...free rigged
I'm in, do nothing lure!!
Do nothing! It's so easy!
Uh Ben what'd we tell you about that Hat?
Dude I smashed smallies on the 5in namazu this fall.. that was my hog snatching bait, I had easily a 3 pound average on it the last month.
Where you fishing? I think they look awesome as a goby imitator
Smallies love the namazu
So dope man!
I'm in Maine. No gobies in my home lake but we have sculpin, very small catfish not sure what species, and cusk which also looks very much like a catfish. They really smash it.
How do u rig it
Silent killer is "silent but deadly"
Solid info Griff *opens wallet*
Dang too bad the Karachi isn’t in stock:/
Mylar minnows always out of stock :(
A bass disliked this vid
Spy bait with no props
Boom!
Letssss goooo!!!!
I prefer the “don’t do shit” terminology
Yes!!
I have to agree with Griff on this one...
1v1 Pokemon Wakebait Challenge please
I would never throw such a thing...
jil
I’m first!
Can we get a link to Griffs insta in the description?
No one wants to see that.
