I do have a few watches set up in Family Search and I'm going to add a bunch more. I'm always browsing through the Ancestry member connections but I'm wary about their information so I try to refrain from connecting. Love your videos!!
In the Ancestry section of the video where you look at other people working on “Joel Davis”, are these people working on “your” Joel Davis or anyone named Joel Davis? For example, one JD was born and died in 2015 in Louisville, Ky, another died in 2017 in Miami, Fl,
In that situation it was showing a lot of "Joel Davis" results, I would normally narrow this down further with filters. However, keep in mind that those people you're referring to, even though the dates don't match, might be descendants with the same name or Ancestry is discovering they are linked in some other way on other trees, thus the search is pulling them in. That example was a little too broad and needed to be filtered down. Joel Davis, in my tree, is a hypothesis, so I didn't have a ton of information on him. Therefore, Ancestry didn't have a way to narrow who it pulled for me and was pulling in all kinds of people/records with the same name.

I like Chrome because it uses Google for its algorithms which I find helpful. Plus it’s tied to all of my RUclips and Google accounts. I think it’s learning abilities are better. That’s just my two cents.
I set up an alert using 1800..1905 for an area and so far I have received an ad for a bank dated dec 2019 and another alert for my gggrandmother who is my brick wall and I received something about the family name, but it is the history of the name ... nothing in her name (or spelling) nor her time frame. I am not terribly excited about Google at this point.
It’s a long range strategy to look out for others uploading stuff with the parameters you set. You can always change the parameters to narrow the focus.

Go to your tree view... in the upper right corner there is a "Share" button. I use the link option most of the time, it's faster. Good question.
