I just absolutely love this video! I am not suicidal but I have been a few times in the past. However, just watching this really hits home. I just keep saying to myself that girl is so me!! That is me!! How she speaks is how I feel!! Living w BPD is so painful!! And it’s almost impossible to stay sober. Being sober is difficult Bcs then you just have to deal w these “feelings” that are so disordered. It’s very debilitating 😔
Not sure if you're still around, but she's likely got her psych degree by now (or close to it). She also took theater in college. She was acting to play the part as the BPD patient.
Brilliant piece. Only thing is the therapist displays very defensive/closed body language for some time. I presume this is unconsciously a response to the (persecutory) audience. Other than that very good
I'm confused by what is meant by this? It could be that in the presence of dysfunctional in-session behavior the behavior therapist may not lean-in so as not to reinforce ineffective in-session behavior? Providers body language, tone, openness, and manner are all potential reinforcers of behavior. Some therapists are really good at making sure that these in-session behaviors that may reinforce or extinguish certain behaviors are used in the interest of the client's long-term goals.
i love how invested and passionate this therapist seems. Would be a pleasure to work with him
No volume!
good video 👍🏼
