I feel like they clash. Aquaria talks a lot and Raja seems like she cant get a word in. I'm not saying that in a negative way, I just mean that if it were Raja and Raven, Raja would talk over her or interrupt if shs felt like it, and also Raven doesnt talk that much so Raja does most of the talking and now shes sitting next to someone that doesnt mind talking.
Also, I feel like there are a lot of moments where they dont get each others jokes and the little jabs they give each other feel forced. So either give me back Raven or put someone else with Aquaria.

Maybe, but I think no one would have made the connection. When I first saw the look I didn’t make the connection until I saw Montes post about it on Instagram. Nonetheless it’s an amazing look from Monte.
I immediately made the Wakanda/Black Panther connection. Not only is it on brand... it looks very much like Okoye but drag. The whole golden piece of Monet’s outfit follows the same lines as Okoye’s uniform
Exactly what I was thinking!!! I immediately noticed that reference and homage to Black Panther, and she further emphasized her celebration of black culture/excellence in her final stage African print-inspired look.
I personally appreciated the cohesive looks that she served alongside with her on-point dance skills!

My favorite finale look was Trinity. So expensive looking, and a bit whimsical with the tea cups. But conceptually, Naomi’s outfit was gorgeous. It seemed like something Aquaria would wear as well. My only complaint about it was the rhinestones on the corset. I know something needed to be there, and it wouldn’t translate if the stones were the exact same as the fishnet and hat stones. But the pattern of those stones accompanied with the shape of the top of the corset made me feel as though I was looking at a prom dress (albeit a pretty one). The look as a whole...drool. She looked stunning. They all did, really. Toots all around.

It's not that we havent seen it. It's that it was poorly executed. She is a NYC queen which means she is a den-mother to the east coast gay illuminati, so when it comes to design execution she has no limitations living in the entertainment wardrobe fabrication capital of america. Plus in seeing Asia O'hara's previous nod to Black Panther and comparing it to Monet's makes Monet's look a little hokey pokey.

But I will point out that owners of bars usually have a territorial queen bee who is in charge of recruiting and booking other queens for the venue according to demand of the artist and if the queen bee thinks the new talent will meld with the other queens as well as will they fit in the recipe of the venue. Truth be told black venues dont usually have white queens and they make white clientele feel very out of place whereas predominantly white venues embrace racial diversity in the talent and are welcoming to all patrons.

But definitely not all inclusive. I think you need to re-evaluate what you actually see when you go out. I’ve been scenario(s) where there’s 500 white queens 25 black queens in one venue and a white queen was ignorant enough to ask me if this was a black bar. Just because you feel you are embracing doesn’t mean everyone is. If it has happened to me multiple times I know it has happened to others. I stopped going to white bars because of shit like that.

There was a Guo Pei exhibit at Bowers Museum in Santa Ana in 2019. About 40 full looks. I believe they are having another one sometime in the future.
