I just got mine. I actually had it jam on me both times I've tried to practice with it. It happened when I put in a fresh co2 and a fresh magazine. I put safety on pull trigger to puncture the c02 then safety off and fire. It's at that point it jams. I'll try to be more deliberate next time or I'll need a replacement. If I actually needed to use it so far.. it would have failed to protect me.
@@Byrnanation what I've found is instead of putting safety on and pulling trigger to puncture th co2. I now just go "safety off and squeeze " on a fresh co2. So far no failures doing it that way. I'm happy with the unit , it just takes some practice to dail it in. Good product overall.
So how do you get it out? I just bought this a couple months ago and I haven’t had a chance to even try it out. So I’m doing it now and I pulled not slow and it got stuck. So how do I get the ball out?
I hope after one year you figured it out that you can push the site that pops up on top of the gun push (First put your safety up )!push that black site on top of the gun down and the ball will pop out, that’s how to removing the magazine
I just recently ordered Byrna HD. Waiting for it to be shipped. I hope I won’t be disappointed. Getting worried based on videos and comments I’ve been seeing. I did not do my research ahead of time
Its alright. I'm in the same boat. 60 day return policy, just dont open all your accessories. Im going to try mine out, really try to get it to misfire. If it does even once I will return it
Mines jam I I swear to God I didn't even unload the whole clip you already broke

I was going to order one of these but I just watched a video of this thing being chrono tested. Less than 220 fps. That is very weak. Not enough impact force to do much of anything. If a ball breaks inside , how do you clean it out?
@@cvisconti4568 yes, still have not got to even try it out. The cap is not loose. I looked on you tube and channels to get help and nothing is working, awful expensive for nothing
It jammed a lot and it is actually not reliable. I got one for my friend cause she was not able to get a gun and lives in a dangerous area. I practiced it with fresh kinetic bullet and CO2 cartridge. I'd say about 1 out of 6 will jam. I am a firearm trainer and I am pretty confident of my handling skill and trigger finger. The trigger is heavy, and the amount of jam really deemed it not reliable for emergencies. I would still give this gun to my friend, but I will need to run through a few more rounds to make sure I can clear the jam and make the gun functional in the shortest time possible. If even I cant clear a jammed Byrna pistol efficiently, I dont know who will.
I agree. I will put a few more cartridges and magazines through to see how many more jams I will experience e. The pull is extremely heavy need to lube.
@@hblee88 are you lubing the trigger? That should say lubing or are you talking about the oil cartridge that you put in the actual gun after maybe five times using it to lube the gun
Good day.. The byrna is a great product and the pepper rounds really do the job… my only issue is, I have an exploded pepper round stuck in my magazine.. Any ideas on how to get it out??
Still no reply? I'm always worried about this. And the eco rounds apparently got moist and left chunks in the barrel and clip. Still trying to get those out.
i I have used the Byrna about a month. It has failed to fire all times of use after the practice shots except one. It's not firing now. It has failed to shoot 6 times in a row. 4 times failed after changing Co2. I'm glad it was not during an attack on me. I hate to think what would have happen. Is there any reason it fails to fire so often? My magazines are not fitting completely in tightly. Does this soppose to be like that?
I don’t know why they didn’t answer your questions… But I just bought my gun and the magazine doesn’t seem to totally fit. There’s a little bit on the bottom that you could slide a credit card and maybe… did you ever get the problem solved?

Byrna: You need a redessign of the way your launcher works becausse it have flaws that could be lethal to some people when then try to defend themselves and the launcher doesn't works properly. If you dessign a superior launcher people will buy one no mather even if the cost is 1,000 dollars. I would.
I never owned a a fake or real gun that had to be fired a certain way or it doesn't work. I just purchased one of these with everything It fired perfect one magazine of balls everything was OEM as far as the cartridges' and the projectile. It now is unreliable and I spent over $500.00 I will return it.
I don't know 9f the half dozen videos I have seen about your gun every one had jams etc. I am not sure but I am real uneasy laying my life on the line with such an unreliable tool.
This an obvious design flaw. Fix it instead of telling people to avoid it.

Hello! My Byrna Hd jammed today twice while using the rubber practice rounds. 🔫 Is this a common problem? It seems it has to do with the trigger.

Me too
It’s a pepper ball ! Don’t really need much to break that pepper ball on someone at 200 fps
You can literally see the frustration on his face about this topic😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The manual says in several places: "Firmly pull the trigger all the way back to fire a projectile." But explaining the mechanism certainly helps.
My ball did not get jammed but my gun will not fire at all !!! Have never got tonuse it it is messing up

My trigger stays in when pulled back ,any ideas how to sort this out?
