I… don't understand. Are these fragments… not mine? Have I just been collecting a random array of memories belonging to other victims? Then… everything I know… isn't mine to know. None of it belongs to me, does it? My name… is not really my name, is it? My life… was never mine, was it? It's all just lies. Cold, bitter lies meant to make a victim hold false hope of reclaiming their identity. In actuality… this is just a sick game to make them lose their sanity. My memories… were never here to begin with. Who I was is now dead. Who I am… is still a mystery. The countless false memories I have… are the remnants of the fallen. But I refuse to become lost as well. For all that have suffered the same fate I have, I will make sure they live on in me. And I will make sure nobody else falls prey to this game. I will be the last participant. I will bring this game to a close… forever.
As one of Arknights players and after reading IS3 What If Storyline, this song hit deep enough for me to drown in the sea.
