! The most common issues or self inflicted problem doing the back glass replacement on this samsung galaxy s20 plus is to forget to remove the small sensor on the back of the broken rear battery cover. That is the reason why I mentioned it three times in the video and here again !

Hey, in the video you cannot find that because it's not there. I just show it already done. I had back glass replacement for the S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra these videos shows everything you are asking specially the part I remove the sensor (mic) and reinstall it on the new back glass. This one was glass good quality, the best back glass you can get is the one with oem type double sided tape. Color is grayish stay away from the slim flat tape those will be done after a few weeks. Thank again glad that you found it helpful

cambiar la tapa trasera no afecta nada. Debe reinstalar el micrófono externo en la cubierta posterior antes de la instalación. solo asegúrese de aplicar presión para que la espalda se adhiera firmemente. Otra cosa es la resistencia al agua que podría considerar no jugar demasiado en el agua después de hacer esa reparación. Avíseme si obtuve la respuesta correcta a su pregunta. Tengo un teléfono samsung galaxy s20 plus y se estrelló el cristal trasero compre uno nuevo y estaba revisando videos para cambiarlo, note que cuando retiraste la tapa estrellada hay un pequeño chip debajo del orificio de la cuarta cámara, este no es necesario? O por que no le pusiste en la tapa de cristal nueva?

Olvidé instalar el micrófono mientras filmaba el video. Instalé el micrófono externo en la parte posterior del nuevo vidrio trasero. Verifique la cubierta posterior vieja y transfiera todos los componentes electrónicos que están conectados allí.

Hello, first question the vertical white line was not present before you repaired the device? Sound like a screen panel damage.

In my s20 upper right corner of back glass has been slightly open up. Do I need a full replacement or is there any way to glue it up? Will that be still water proof?
If you want to be confident with your water resistance you'll need to install a new double sided tape! If getting water on your device is not something that happen to you often you can fix the elevated portion with super glue( not foaming!!!!!!!) doing this is a bit risky because you can crack the back if not handled well went inserting the glue.
My advice to you would be to replace the whole double sided tape it's less stressful and less percentage of causing another issue ✅

Hi. The back glass of my phone was replaced but there's one side that it's not glued together. Is there a type of glue I can use like T8000 or should I take it back to the person who fixed it??
If it's due to bad repair you should try to get it fixed for free from the person who repaired it the first time. The answer to your other question is B7000 or T8000 like you said. You gotta be careful with these it can create a mess if not handled properly. Try my Redmi Note 10 Pro back glass replacement I used exclusively B7000 for that back glass repair/reinstallation
just a question, the back glass of my Samsung s20 broke a few days ago, if I smash the rest of the backglass and clear it up will I end up with the plastic (gray or any color it is) that's below glass? I'm just asking so I could avoid replacing it or what I'm saying is dumb, can you help me?
You are correct you can remove the glass but most likely you will tear the plastic while doing so!!! It won't protect your device and it's better leave it like that and wait to change the back properly ( there's no dumb question 👍🏽)

I went to a phone repair shop to get my back glass replaced and there's a massive mark on the back I think its from where they clamped it but I was wondering if there's any way to get rid of that
Also the camera keeps making a crunchy sound and its loose/easy to move
Massive mark ?? I am not able to visualize that. It’s not broken just a mark I don’t know what that could be. Can you explain more so I can understand better
The camera section ? Did they work on your cameras? If not you should receive the device in the same condition you gave them (this is surely not normal camera clicking noise like it’s not screwed in properly
It's kind hard to explain I think it could have been the glue that they used because the whole back just completely fell off and there was lots of wet glue where the mark was even though its been 2 days since it was done so I have had to tape it together.
Also the camera was separate to the back glass and the phone when it fell off so that could have been why the camera was loose.
Oh sorry to hear that, looks like bad workmanship. They should have made the glue dry completely before handing you the phone. Some people do not value quality 🙁

It should retain a somewhat water resistance but I recommend avoiding water in general

If I only use t7000 glue does the ip rating voided?
Yes. Please don't take the device ip rating from manufacturers very seriously because even those devices get water damage. If you use liquid glue b/t7000 you might cover every side of the device, but you should not use the device in water because the risk is kinda higher

So if my phone is on contract and I replace the glass like this, will they be able to tell when I trade in the phone?
I would say NO, they cannot tell if you use the same kind of grayish tape Samsung usually put inside the device. But it has to be done right!! Haven't seen any warranty sticker recently on these devices (a sticker that's must be torn to work on the phone) dunno if carriers have control on that, but I still think they wouldn't spot the difference unless there is that warranty sticker broken when they open the device for assessment

I have a question on the back cover in the location of the cameras there is a small PCB card once you replace the back cover you did not move the card to the new cover.
Does it have meaning and should it be addressed?

Hi that’s correct !! I mentioned that at least 3 times to make sure people reinstall that sensor back onto the new back glass. It is mandatory for the S20 to function properly.

You can heat the area lightly and use a small plastic tool to remove it(flat small tool) . When you safely removed it you might need a tiny double sided tape to install it on the new back glass (if the back glass doesn’t come with pré installed tape for the sensor)

I did transfer it later. The video was already ✅. I added that part in the description and also in the video and comment so that nobody would miss it.

I filmed the original video and edited two weeks later and I had another video where I had the sensor so I added that instead of recording a whole video for the sensor. The sensor is for the external mic. On my S20 Ultra back glass replacement I transferred the sensor there also if you want to consult another video with the sensor.

It depends really really on the quality of the replacement part. I have not tested it in water after a back cover replacement but soon will to better understand if it will stay water resistant or no.
I recently test water for a s21 after Camera glass replacement and back glass replacement and Water went in mostly through the camera glasses
