This is a tutorial video on how to remove and replace the back glass cover on your Samsung Galaxy S20.
It's the same procedure and same glass back cover used for all carrier models.

Thanks for the assist. My back cover glass was shattered so it took longer to get the pieces off and I had to vacuum before inserting new glass.
Amazon had two sellers who included the lens cover on the new glass so that saved time. I installed it with no problems!
You actually waited for new cover to arrive before you peeled the old shards off, in turn allowing them to fall unbeknownst to you, upon your carpets all over the house 😬
Very helpful video... Applied similar technique w/ my S20+ 5G & no issues (also swapping the camera lens that came w/ the replacement). Not sure I'd trust taking this thing underwater, but at least the phone looks brand new again!
Have you tried put it underwater if it's still rated as IP68?

I'll still have to order a replacement back as I wouldn't trust it to remain waterproof after this but the actual removal worked like an absolute charm!

No need for glue when replacing new one ? After replacing new back does phone still water resistant?
Obviously it will lose water resistance if you dont glue it back perfectly

Almost every video I've seen before this claim it will no longer be water resistant
@@unbreakable_360 can't you heat up the resin with a heat gun or something and glue it firmly?
You can buy b7000 and make it water resistant again if you can do it correctly. I use heavy duty runner bands that fit around the phone tight, Then let it sit for 5 hours minimum overnight if best. This still won't make it full proof has alot to do with how it's prepare and installed.

How to remove back glass
If your phone has ever been repaired or gotten an overheating warning, it no longer has its ip68 rating, if it's ever been dropped from 5ft case or no case, it no longer has its ip68 rating.most phones now days survive a brief dunk and splashes regardless of rating, if you want an underwater camera then buy an underwater camera, or wait a few years and samaung and Apple will manufacture a true waterproof phone
tbh no phone is waterproof but water resistant today. we shouldn't be saying that getting the latest apple or Samsung model will survive any sort of water situation. indeed we have to wait longer I guess

@Rishav Verma I didn't need to. Samsung finally had me send the Galaxy S20 Ultra to their repair facility and they found the battery swollen and the display damaged by that and sent me a new phone! Took me about 6 months of calling and trying their fraud authorized place of repair near me for Samsung to act and do the right thing short of recalling the phone!
yeah that's messed up because asurion doesn't allow the text to change the back cover no more they want the $275 and replace the phone. Sobs

WATERPROOF is not the proper word to use. It is WATER RESISTANCE. If you throw/dip into water, you can certainly kiss it good bye.
