I never thought the idea of ice fishing was fun. Until now seeing you sitting at the camper style dinner table catching fish in sweatpants... that looks like a good time
Was just up there with Matt and the rest of the Kannuck Outfitter’s crew! Great people, great guides, and an amazing time up there! Lots of big fish caught on top of the great hospitality!! Awesome vid!!
J you need to get together with your Manitoba tourism people and come up with a marketing campaign aimed at fisherman in Chicago and the Twin Cities of Minnesota. This type of ice house fishing is very popular on mille lacs and leech lake here.
I have always found ice fishing incredibly difficult, haha. But so beautiful, touching, and adventurous. Unfortunately, the part of the world I live in right now, there is no way I could do this, so I appreciate you creating some cool videos like this and sharing it with us, :) wishing you the best and a lot of catching success.
I'm itching to get back up to LOTW with my buddies and do another sleeper house trip. Been about 3 years. They've been some of the best times of my life.
Thanks again Jay for the video! Weird to think sleep shacks aren't a huge deal there? Here in MN, the lakes are like small cities covered with overnight shacks.
Love you videos! I've learned so much about walleye ice fishing as im preparing for a trip out on lake nipissing this coming Feb. What would be 5 lures(size color) you'd get from frostbite. You've made me want to get a set, but unsure which would be best. Thanks again for everything you do!
Another solid vid jay!! Those greenbacks were super nice 🤙🏽 fingers crossed that I win the chance to come fishing with ya man!! Never been ice camping so I’ve campin lake winni with the man jay himself would be one cool story to tell.
I feel you should offer more fishing opportunities to fish with you as a give away! Cool dude with other cool dudes😂 Just sayin…immensely enjoy the content!
Not sure whats changed as everyone used to say greens dont bite at night but in last few years weve done overnights the bite can be just as good as primetime or better at night.
Great video as always Jay! You should start listing your camera gear. Some of video / creator nerds would live that information. Specifically what DJI Mavic drone are you flying? In CA do you need to have the equivalent to an FAA part 107 like we do here in the states? Cheers and tight lines!!
Hey jay wondering how hard the walleye fisheries especially big ones in Canada get hit with many anglers. I know here in mn some of our big places LOTW, Mille lacs, and red get pressured a ton.
Jay….your merch, is it true to size when ordering ? Does it shrink when washed ? Want to place an order just wondering on what size I need to order. Thanks
Hey Jay you And Clayton should do a couple overnights together in one of these shacks. Have yourself a contest. Most inches of walleye's win. Loser has to do something stupid.
$373 per night USD? Forget that BS. That's an absurdly expensive rate compared to US overnight rentals at most outfitters. Outside of that, great video
I personally think the price is very fair considering how difficult getting these shacks out can be, we don't have plowed ice roads on Lake Winnipeg like on many of the lakes in the USA. It's a much different scenario up here than the massive communities of sleeper shacks in the states.
@Jay Siemens completely understandable. I'm very accustomed to renting sleepers on Red, LOTW, Leech and others. Most are in the $150-$200 per night. As an up and coming operation, you need a big return to offset initial costs. The hope is those costs go down as operations become more attainable due to popularity. My experience is it will not.
THANKS FOR WATCHING! New "Catch And Cook" Merch Just Dropped! - Check It Out At www.catchandcook.net
Gotta try me some of this. I like some Shore Lunch but I wanna try something new so I’ll have to grab a bag er 2 🤙🏽
Did you bring beer for your beer battered fish? I think you deserve to have 1 , 2 or 6 beers. 🍺🍺

My feet were cold watching you walk around that house. But that must be a testament to how well insulated they are!

Good way to get Sam and Hayden out for an over night ice trip with the whole family. Great video Jay

@JaySiemens1 Thanks for the reply Jay.
Man if I owned one of those I'd never leave the lake in the winter. That looked really fun
Absolutely always looking forward to your video! Makes me not second quests myself sometimes!
That looked like a Clay size fish, the one you lost. Great house, good to see you out enjoying the nite bite
One of the coolest videos I have seen this season!

I’ve never seen someone fish inside of a log cabin 😂😂 that’s a pretty awesome set up
What a beauty ice cabin. Congrats and great video. Does Clayton have one....LOL
Sweet set up! Nice video, good luck this season brother!
Still havent done an ice castle yet. Looks like such a great time and I have to admit the greenbacks do bite at night.
I'm itching to get back up to LOTW with my buddies and do another sleeper house trip. Been about 3 years. They've been some of the best times of my life.
Would absolutely love to own one of those units! I'd be out fishing every weekend in the lap of luxury! Great video Jay!!
Thanks again Jay for the video! Weird to think sleep shacks aren't a huge deal there? Here in MN, the lakes are like small cities covered with overnight shacks.
Need your self some rattle reels for at night! Great video once again.
He literally jinxed that jig popping off, was for sure still hooked on when he said he thought he lost her then boom, actually pops off 🤦🏽♂️😂

Wish Lake of the Woods was that way. Dead sea at night.
Jay try some white rattle baits with minnow heads they've been working for me this year on big windy
Jay rocking those 4:20 or I have a new baby eyes!
Great video as always Jay! You should start listing your camera gear. Some of video / creator nerds would live that information. Specifically what DJI Mavic drone are you flying? In CA do you need to have the equivalent to an FAA part 107 like we do here in the states? Cheers and tight lines!!
They need to set those things up with some rattle reels! Fish will you are sleeping!!
We should go fishing sun time 🎣🐟🐟
Cool looking walters
Thanks for watching!
How's it going Jay thanks for the new video been waiting a while for new content did you already select the person who will go ice fishing with you
Looks like a good way to hook your foot
Just curious what was that stuff on that fish? Is it something you could cut around and eat the fish?
I was fishing in Gimli all day nothing and caught 2 20 inch walleye at 10:30 pm night bite is prime this year on lake Winnipeg
Heading out tomorrow in the hunt for burbot doing some running and gunning
good luck!
Good video man
Hey jay wondering how hard the walleye fisheries especially big ones in Canada get hit with many anglers. I know here in mn some of our big places LOTW, Mille lacs, and red get pressured a ton.
Firsr fish is like " nice house bro "
I'd be never satisfied with any other fishing arrangement again
When the snow and ice are that thick... It's night to them more than not anyway.
Hey jay I think you need a longer rod😂
I'm in a wow state we've been doing that for years on Mile Lacs lake and LOTW MN side.
Love the content Jay tkz for posting all the time.
Love it I hope I win the trip with you Jay
And that’s why you don’t use stinger hooks ice fishing
What....no Burbot? What is a night fish on big windy without a burbot!
Awesome video. hope you feel better soon.
Looks like you are living in a condo in Vegas. How much do you get for rent after the ice goes out and you park this in town?
Jay….your merch, is it true to size when ordering ? Does it shrink when washed ? Want to place an order just wondering on what size I need to order. Thanks
That's the worst. You order an XL and it turns it into a Large. Can't wear it anymore after spending $40.
@@jacobthayer236 exactly !!
Hey Jay, what line are you using ?
It looked like you missed the nuggets behind the eye sockets when you fileted the walleye thats the best part is the cheek meat
That luxury 👍🏻
Number 1 rule in a hard shack,no BEARFOOT!!LOL
Nothing like watching your video and eating venison hamburger
Hey Jay you And Clayton should do a couple overnights together in one of these shacks. Have yourself a contest. Most inches of walleye's win. Loser has to do something stupid.
haha one day!
@@JaySiemens Just think of the number of views collaboration between you and Clayton would be it would be epic
Im wondering dont you Burn the fish if you hold it in a warmed shag
Jay I am heartbroken. That fish was so big that you lost lol I’m even hurting from that one buddy
Tell me about it😂

Why did he let go that first fish? And exactly where do you use the bathroom #2?
Awesome!
Love your videos!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Bout time
RV’s on ice
Jay did you use glow jigs for night time ? Sick video man we got Troy’s dad booked for a night in March and can’t wait
Dads shack *
How do you get one of those diesel reals?
COME TO THOMPSON, MB ❤️
6:28 Looks like a sturgeon!
What live scope were you using?
Hello, do you have any promo codes for free shipping for your catch and cook seasonings 😅
I have never caught a walleye while sitting in a dennys booth
Nice !!
Jay how did you clear up the stitching of the beams? Yours looks pretty good in those spots compared to mine! Thanks!
Nothing specific, not sure why!
Are you fishing at Lake Winnipeg again tomorrow
Nope sorry.
I would've kept one of the bigger walleyes for later to eat.. haha
What fish finder is that?
Aside from that emerald green shimmer, those Walleyes sure are washed out of all color, must be a beige-ey colored water?
I didnt know "pimp my ride Manitoba" was still on the air
Nice!
Why didn’t you put rattle reels down?
