    My dads in this vt...he was one of the few ‘glorious glosters ‘ that came home from the battle of Imjin xx

      My great uncle was also one that came home.

      Ad - Dajjal such a horrific war. And mostly forgotten :(

      It is the forgotten war, he was in WW2 also it's like he couldn't get enough of it.

      … My dad too! He’s still alive and still fit as a fiddle at 88! He and the others went on soon to fight in several other places - Cyprus, Egypt, Yemen, Kenya… the wind down of what was in reality the End of Empire. My dad has never forgiven PM Cameron for apologizing to the Mau Mau rebels in Kenya. “Not on my behalf!” he says.

    My Great Uncle did not come home. He was killed when he left the safety of his dugout to assist comrades whose machine gun had jammed. Only just recently found out how he died. His comrades survived :)
