It was a real pleasure to spend even a few minutes with the fold at Stanley. They were real and we were able to connect over an appreciation of each of our stories with Stanley Thermos'.
Outdoor Retailer Summer 2016 was a busy place and it was nice to be able to connect and here of the passion behind the incredible line of products that makes up the Stanley line up. Stanley Thermos has been around since 1913.
From the beginning in 1913 Stanley has been pushing innovation to answer the need for cold and hot beverages to maintain temperature for longer than a few hours. Stanley is the originator behind 48 hour ice water. Many people are getting excited these days about growlers that keep ice for 24 hours or more. Stanley has been doing that for more than 100 years!
I can still remember sharing ice cold water with my grandpa as he let me drive around on his John Deere tractor. I am excited to continue the Stanley tradition and teach my kids of the great products available.

I get what you mean, Stanley is the OG brand, yet a lot of people be gettin hype over hydro flask and stuff that haven't been around that long at all, while Stanley has been around since 1913, That's 106 years.

      +Ginger Adventurez, Yes, Sir!
So far, I only have the 24oz stainless "Adventure Camp Cook Set" and the all-grey "33oz Large Floating Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Hot or Cold #2595" Thermos bottle. Both are amazing products!
Now, I'm trying to decide between a Stanley Stainless 64oz single-wall Growler and a double-wall of the same. If budget wasn't a factor, I'd already own both!

    • @chrisdaniel1339

The vacuum between the two stainless walls leaked and is gone and now the space is just filled with air which can conduct heat through convection and conduction to the outside of the bottle. So instead of losing 2-3°F/hr with a proper vacuum, yours is losing significantly more. If your coffee when in at 205°F and 6 hrs later it is room temp (70°F) that is a delta of 135°/ 6 hours = 22.5°F loss per hour.

      I completely agree.
I wish it were easier for US companies to manufacture domestically. It is an unfortunate reality that Asia is the most affordable manufacturing option.
