- Now that i've owned my 2015 F82 BMW M4 for well over a month, I figured I would dive into some first impressions about this beast. As you may be able to tell, I really like this car and it's a blast to drive around no matter what setting you are in. I hope you all enjoyed this video and found it helpful or entertaining. I’ve had my 2016 M4 Competition since last August and it still makes me smile every time I open the garage and fire it up! Totally swear by the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.....worth the extra $ !!!!

@@SimplyCarThings love the channel. I have a 2015 m3 f80 since Nov of 2018. Full afe exhaust, catless downpipes, jb4 on map 2 right now until we do the tune, eventuri intake, VRSF charge pipes. Going on this summer should be the CSF intercooler, heat exchanger, and we will be pulling the turbos to upgrade them. Very excited to see the gains but just can't bring myself to go E85 yet. I would rather see what it can do on pump gas first

that is the plan. I was looking at a few different places near me and it looks like it may be going to NJ to get done. The crankhub that Kies had (same place Tommy L went to) they offer had a design that was better which did not require drilling. I like that better as far as the labor aspect of the swap goes as well

Yeah, all depends on mileage tho. If you get one with high mileage good luck paying for the problems. If you get one with 20k or less then you’re looking at $65k-75k
Just bought myself a used f83 M4 and I must say it's been an absolute blast to drive. One thing I didn't notice at first when I bought it (mainly because I didn't know about what options were available) was how well optioned the car is. It's a very well optioned car with the Exec Package, Heads up display, heated steering wheel and neck warmers. Has the top down parking assist, lane keep, ect. The only thing that car was short of was the carbon ceramic breaks. I have been so happy with my purchase and even though I got no where to go this weekend I almost just want to drive for no reason other than to enjoy the car. I can't wait till spring :)

Great video and I recently bought a 2015 M4 and it being my first BMW, this car is exhilarating. I’ve owned a lot of cars in my life and this is by far the best car I’ve ever driven

My Silverstone F80 is just as raw and I love it too. No Exec package, backup camera’s, adaptive suspension. All I wanted was the Silverstone II and six speed manual and she’s glorious.

I had 2 F83 (convertibles), both 2015's. 1- Yas Marina blue & a black one, both loaded, BOTH low mileage (thanks, CarGurus) under 35k miles. Traded the black one last Friday for an 18' YELLOW (special order- not the mustard one, actual yellow) WITHOUT realizing it's a comp edition to boot- 15k miles! Needless to say, I love these cars. Congrats to all that get one- go for it!
Honestly love the sound of S55 it sounds like a GT race car when you get an exhaust. I think BMW M division didn’t intend it to sound deep but more loud and high pitch when revving
Same here bro, with the right exhaust setup and proper breather mods, these engines have a really nice tone to them. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I cant help but relate the sound to none other than a racecar lol

Great vlog! Especially love you discussion around respecting a M car! I unfortunately learnt the hard way. M button pressed, traction off in my E92 M3, took off fast around a sweeping road and lost the tail into a gutter quicker than I could ever dreamed. Yes I had shit tyres that came aftermarket with the car and only had the car for a week, but damn, should have known better!
Definitely a learning experience!

After years of saving I finally got one. Picking it up 1000 miles away! It’s a CPO Black on Black with M-Comp and Executive package with only 13k miles. Saved me 20 grand from buying new and it’s still a 2020! Crazy how my dream was an e92 M3 and now I’m getting an F82 M4! From 335i that someone crashed into to M4. Being only 22 I’m so happy.

Great video, I am almost same to you, I purchased my M4 five months ago. So far I am glad to my purchase, the reason I picked the M4 rather than an M2 because M4 size is more capable of daily driving. Even I am able to use the car to do airport pick up, and it is also good for short trips, two people two midsize luggages plus my french bulldog at the back seat, perfect size! Better looking than an M2 and lighter than an M6. Enjoy your new car!

Used to have one!! Such a great car!! Soo much fun and so many great memories !! Driving a z4m40i now! I honestly like the z4m40i more to be honest but it's way smaller of a car and only has 2 seats and a tiny trunk. Needs an extra 30 HP tho but nothing stage 1 tune cant do. BMW M really knows how to make good cars!!

I believe I congratulated you on the bimmer already but CONGRATS ON THE M4! I was going towards Q60rs, M4 and Nismo 370z. I ended up going with what I know and loved 370z. My bimmer had issues and I couldn't imagine dealing with the financial headache of a M4 IF something were to go wrong.
I’ve also had my 6MT F80 M3 for just over a month now and wow I love the car... the original plan was to buy an Audi RS3 but I test drove the M3 and fell in love. The front mount intakes and bootmod3 stage 1 definitely helps! After a maximumpsi crankhub , stage 2 and possibly pureturbos will be on the way!

I'm looking into one of the leftover 2020 M4s, but it has the same cloth/anthracite black interior as yours - how do you like the seats? Do they feel high quality / look nice in person?
....wow, back then when I was a college kid...I owned a 20+ years old hooptie (Camry). Never imagined I would ever owned a luxury/sport whip. Fast forward, I purchased a brand new fully-loaded BMW (G30) 540i M Sport....yeah, it’s a nice n’ quick vehicle....no complaints here! I’ve now considered this car as my project/show car.
Great honest review. Yes they're awesome machines that look so beautiful. Whenever I walk away from my car I keep looking back at my 2017 M4 competition with full M performance kit. Such a beautiful machine. I'd just recommend wrapping those orange side reflectors to body colour and tinting all the windows, not too dark maybe 20-30% light. 👍

good stuff as usual... do you like those mats? I'm contemplating those or the all weather. I have a silver stone as well and I think the mat color may match the car. Also, are you comfortable with the seat height? I'm most comfortable at that height as well, but the hood impedes visibility a bit. Great car - except the lack of comfort access- I literally cannot live without it.
Really Nice M4, all good spec choices, subtle and not over the top.
My understanding the later year models and especially the comp pack fixed the putting the power down problem. You might be able to get there with better tires and some tweaks to the suspension.

How hard is parking this without the backup camera? I thought that was something that came standard on that car and I did not realize that you could get one without it. Is there an alternative that the car utilizes for backing up. I know that some BMW's have the seniors that help with parking. Really good content too. Thanks!

I agree with everything you said about the car. Power rating, sound and all that other jazz. Good video man. Amazing cars they dipped into a good price now so hopefully people that watch this might consider buying one. As a side note silverstone and cloth seats what a combo for an ocd detail oriented person. You dont want frozen red + opel white. Everything is a stress. -_-
They are very underrated from the factory. Dyno tests consistently show the claimed power numbers are what it makes at the wheels not crank, which suggests it’s putting out a lot more power at the crank than claimed.

Everyone does their front end differently but this exactly how I'd do it. Front lip and the 2 little L shaped bottom parts of the vents in CF/black. I don't like when they do the top part of those vents in CF/black as well. This created the perfect fascia
i agree, i was lucky when i bought the car it came with the lip already installed. it makes a big difference to the front end

I'm so torn on going between the F80 and F82. I feel like it's impossible to pick a wrong choice. This is coming from someone who has only owned coupes as well! These cars are beautiful. I'm jealous of anyone who has gotten these cars for under $40,000. It's hard to find one under $45-50k that's 50,000 miles.

It's fast, I agree,my 2018 f80 is scary fast enough for me, and very comfortable,it's fully loaded, except for blind spot and comp package.

I pay 260$ a month on insurance for it,I'm 32yrs old,I got some really fat tyres,and have no problem with the tail spinning out on me, it has fantastic grip, and I also drive sparingly, I respect this car alot bcuz u know it can get outta hand real quick.

Lovely video. I am stuck between the 440i and the M4. Yes they are totally different cars however I do about 20k miles a year and I would use my car for daily driving. I've got the budget for the M4 but 440i seems to be more daily driver friendly and it's cheaper to tune and make high HP
Yes for a daily driver, the 440i will probably be more compliant especially around town and have a much smoother ride. It also is cheaper to tune and make power especially since you don't have to deal with the potential of a crank hub issue.
I bet the M4 will hold value much better than 440i in a long term, especially when the next gen M3/4 comes out with large gills and all wheel drive. And remember the E46 and E92 are getting older, F8X is more reliable and would be the next hot M car to pick.

Honestly bro, yes it does. it's a different kind of power delivery tho, its hard to describe. From like 0-80 my tuned M235i was probs just as quick but beyond that the M4 definitely has more top end pull

A 22 yr old in an M4, your insurance company must be having their way with you. Take care of your good driving record and your good driving record will take care of you. In my youth I learned the hard way, now in my 60's I guard my driving record like my credit $core. Cool looking car, you have my undivided M attention...

I noticed you pressed M2 to close the valves. You know you can press the same button again to get back to the default settings? Maybe you knew that but I had initially programmed M2 as the default to “undo” M1. I don’t really need more than 1 anyways.
