Oh hey, it's Superman
You mean, Clark Kent.
That can't be Superman. He's wearing glasses.
with every word he utters I hear my childhood talking.
"All this science, and all the engineering, and math, and the quest for knowledge, isn't worth anything to human beings unless its in emotional context. And that's where artists come in, because we make something that communicates to people, that they can identify with, because arts are the common language of our humanity."
Beautiful
Tim Daly is 60. How does he look so young.
Michael Natrin wow he looks 40!
Michael Natrin I don’t know. Maybe the sunlight gives him powers?
Because he's Superman
@@baronobeefdip2 and sephiroth
You see Tim Daly, I see Superman
Alex Love I assume that's because you know he voiced Superman in the Animated Adventures for years. He's a great guy that embodies who Superman is at his core, a good person who respects all and wants a better world.
Denis Ryan He voiced Superman?!?!?!?!?! What!!!??
now that you mention it i do hear it
Yup. He voiced him from 1996-2000. Isn't he just the perfect fit?
Denis Ryan Nah I knew lol. Grew up with his superman
Madam Secretary!!! 😍😍😍
Ashley Pamplina Yes to everything you just said!
Damn, his normal voice is SUPERMAN. AMAZING!
Tim Daly is the best Superman.
Yeah he has a more gentle voice with superman not George Newbern
It always makes me happy to see Tim Daly in any context. Joe Hackett will always be my favorite, though. I'd love to see a reunion of the Wings cast, even if it were just for one interview.
#RightToBearArts - more important now than ever! Way to go, Tim! :)
reminds me a bit of gregory peck, he has that quiet dignity and humility
I don't know who he is, but I definitely want to look that great and to be that appealingly wise when I'm 60.
ashramshef he voiced superman in the superman animated series and the justice league series as well as several DC animated movies
Good to see how Mr McCord is in real life. Love that he has similar interests as his character.
"The quest for knowledge doesn't mean anything unless it's in an emotional context. And that's where artists come in because we make it something that communicates to people that they can identify with because arts are the common language of our humanity." - Tim Daly
I like this Tim fellow. And his Right to Bear Arts idea. As a universal language, the arts are the one thing that can bridge the gap between cultures, races, economic status, and all other forms of division. And for this reason alone, it might never get approved. Though as a former entertainer, I can see Trump going for it, if he makes it to the white house.
No worries bro, I'm pretty sure the FIRST amendment has all that covered . . .
This random Scotsman, who's never heard of Tim Daly before tonight, is oddly inspired. Good job.
I never stop hearing Superman's voice.
LOVE MADAM SECRETARY and Tim and Tea's relationship!! ;) #WishfulEntertainment
He is so handsome
It's nice that Superman has a farm
Clark Kent. Surely. C'mon this is basic
Glasses = Clark Kent
Scotty Nguyen's 80s Mullet my bad
Great Scott! You're right!!
Totally dig Tim and the T-shirt! Support your local arts folks!
Rocksteady, we need Superman in a game- this is our Superman!
SUPERMAN!!!!!
at least my superman. lol
when I here this guy straight away I think superman
When he said someone's name was Brian, i had flashbacks to Wings.
I love Tim, tho. Madam Secretary is so good.
Best Superman ever.
I hear Superman every time he talks lol.
Just close your eyes. and imagine Colbert is interviewing Superman. IT TOTALY WORKS!
Garrett Carter I imagine him interviewing Clark Kent of the Daily Planet ;)
Tim Daly literally is superman.
I'm still waiting for that 2nd season of his The Fugitive tv show.
Its only been.... 17 years. I'm a patient man.
HAHAHAHA. that made me laugh
i just realized, tim daly plays himself on madam secretary lol
oh man those glasses!
And think I was going to post thinking I was the few who knew he voiced superman....
Well said Tim, wow
I never thought he looked like his sister but now that he's older I can see the resemblance.
I'm here for Superman.
I only clicked because Superman is looking like Clark Kent. I had to make sure things didn't end abruptly so he could save the world.
A superman game is apparently really hard to pull off, but hopefully one day will get a proper superman game
Superman talking😂❤
I WANT one of those shirts!
America's running of the bulls. best way to summarize black Friday
I still think of him as Dr. Pete Wilder! #PrivatePractice fan! By the way his glasses are too adorable!
Whoa! It's the guy from Wings!
His voice sounded so familiar... Until i looked at his history and saw he's played the role of Superman multiple times in the DC animated series /films! Wow he seriously sounds like Clark Kent / Superman! And he talks about farms too XD He seems to have such a pleasant personality and natural kind disposition !
WTF, wasn't this guy in Wings?
Yes, he was. He & Steven Webber (sic) co-starred as brothers. Tony Shalhoub (sic) was in this pre-Monk.
I'm in love
To this day I still can't decide - Tim Daly or George Newbern. Both embody the voice and spirit of Superman. I always find myself leaning a bit more towards George Newbern but when I hear Tim Daly speak I'm like hang on.
RomanCoronado Same here. Man I love both.
Tim is definitely better!
Whoa, what a good-looking guy!! And he's 60????? For Pete's sake, I wanna look like that.
Is it me? Or Would Tim and Stephen make the cutest Gay Couple?
Stay human was playing Beethoven at the end
This is so inspiring!
Superman: Fights for truth, justice and the pursuit of the arts!
forget arkham games. get the arkham creators to work on a superman game. get tim Daly back.
Suzaku Natsu I still want more Arkham games, but I would love to see a well-done Superman game, before another Arkham.
Suzaku Natsu either Tim Daly or George Newbern
If I close my eyes and listen to his interview it sounds like Stephen Colbert is interviewing superman
Superman.
Happy birthday tim from italian boy live in rome
The true voice of Superman (next to George Newbern)
Tell me why I read this as defence against the dark arts?
Love and Art. I like this guy. Cool. Kind of reminds me of John Lennon - that is a good thing.
real life superman and no one can tell me otherwise. #TimDaly2020
Where do I get that shirt!!
He literally is Henry McCord
He hasn't really aged since Wings nothing is more sexy than a man with an organic garden
I want a new superman game and with this guy as the voice
SUPERMAN!
Superman ❤️
He's Superman!!!
"Superman. I'm here to kill you. Is this a bad time?"
Oh my god it's SUPERMAN! What a lovely surprise!
You think putting on a pair of glasses, and people would not realise you? You are too naive, Kent Clark!
Bring back Wings.
Best voice of superman
Supermaaaan
I love you
When black comedians do white impersonations, this is the guy they imitate.
They imitate the voice of 90's Superman the animated series?
Close your eyes and you can hear Superman/Clark Kent :-)
Daly was GREAT as Koresh
Speaking of selfishness as sickness, I covet those glasses. Bigtime.
He is aging great! Love Tim daly.
I thought that it was a misspelling of Tom Daley at first.
Superman
Today tim 68 years
LOL. "I need to find a way to serve the Science God despite the fact that I've devoted my life to the arts. Let me come up with some sort of bullshit saying to pay Science homage."
KangaMagic Okay cynical internet guy.
Holy shit I hear nothing but Superman :D
superman
Wait is that Clark?
Michael Anderson
how else wanted to hear the rest of fur elise at the end?
Oh hey it's superman
duuuuude!!! I seriously mistook him for Rob low!!!
art might be a good language for humanity but it's nothing without spirituality and philosophy
Alejandro Espinosa Philosophy is an amazing way for students to waste money learning how to quote and name drop to back up the things they already stubbornly believe. And spirituality is a mental placebo; sure, it helps, but not because it's real.
pmd2 i disagree, philosophy is a incredible discipline that helps us to understand different ideas, and spirituality helps us to find a trascendental motive for our actions and guide us to a balance state of satisfaction and happines wich is the ultimate goal for everyone, to be happy no matter your conditions.
Alejandro Espinosa
Like I said, the placebo of spirituality works. And of course there's merit in philosophy, but mostly those who study it don't know how to converse without dropping names constantly. As almost any philosophical argument relies on constant appeals to authority, it shows that the field of philosophical study is merely teaching people to name drop. Good ideas stand on their own. Take out the proper nouns, and you have some neat ideas, but that's all it is: Neat perspectives on reality. Basically the best thing philosophy gives you is a compilation of fun ideas--hardly something special.
Force a philosophy student to converse without dropping names, talking on ideas alone, and suddenly you just have a baseless squabble about perspectives of reality.
pmd2 i think spirituality is more than a placedo efect, i do believe it's a discipline just like working out or training some sport about self knowledge and environmental awareness so we can feel better and keep that way, i de believe that spiritual rituals can be as short and random and still be as efective as some of the most demanding and organized rituals, everyone has its own way. And yes sometimes philosophy sounds pretentious and way overrated, but i do think that philosophy sometimes is key when science and other studies need to explain and comunicate a good idea. i do think does more as a motivation for questions than for real answers that's why seems useless or stupid but science advances are made from clever questions.
Is this Totoro girls' father?
5:25 Tim said a guy named Brian Cox who's former rock star and an astrophysicist??? Did he mean Brian May Queen's guitarist? Omg how could he be so wrong about Brian May????
No, he does mean Brian Cox, who is a former musician, a professor of physics, and a TV and radio host. It's this dude: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Cox_(physicist)
MorningAngel OMG that Brian Cox! I know him but didn't know he was a musician. That's awesome! Thanks dude.
wtf he's 60? he looks no more than late 40s jesus christ
Hey look, it's that guy who turned into Sean Young back in '95, lol.
Where were you Superman on November 8? Really...
“generic Superman comment”
Well I came into this looking to make washed up actor jokes, but dayum.. think he made a fan of me. And no, I'm not just saying that to justify the shrine to shirtless Tim in my closet.
heiiiilll trummspmpsps
A little too deep and philosophical for Colbert and his audience, lol
They're like "oh, we're supposed to clap at that?" 😐😐😐😐😐
Politics that are less entertaining than our tv shows? But that wouldn't sell many newspapers, would it?
I wonder sometimes how much of our political drama is manufactured. A case of life imitating art.
