- IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot tells the story of our planet in 3 unforgettable acts.
Act 1: Chaos - Bear witness to the explosion at the dawn of time that brings about the creation of Earth, where you are invited to observe the Inferno Barge, a liquid-propane mechanism launching balls of fire 60 feet into the air.
Act 2: Order - Behold the glowing Earth Globe as it glides peacefully to the center of the lagoon, illuminated with-and celebrating-the famous faces and achievements of our time.
Act 3: Meaning - During this final act, the Earth Globe blossoms to reveal a torch and the glow of a thousand fireworks and laserlights that fill the night sky in a shimmering kaleidoscope of color and sound, propelling us into the future.

Not only is Illuminations a masterful pyrotechnic / musical / laser light show but it also includes an important message about cultue and the unity of man... as many know Disney is a total international destination and the message holds true every night as people from all over the world gather to enjoy this amazing performance!

I have this page minimized while I'm doing homework. I just listen and visualize. I can just imagine the feeling of the cold breeze at night and the smell of food & fireworks while the bass from the amps slightly shake the ground from the epicness of this show. Damn I need to go back very fucking soon!
No fireworks show can compare to this one, simply amazing.

This will always be my favorite firework show. No one does it like Disney does.
We just got there early and sat there all all evening. There's so much space surrounding the World Showcase lagoon that there's not much trouble finding a good spot.
it is amazing to see the glob light up In the dark it is stunning to see as well
Torch not working which seems odd. Also the extra blast at 10:51. Not every run is perfect but that is what makes it even better.
Excellent audio-video quality is like standing at the main entrance of the world showcase, my favirite place to view that show. It brings nice memories for my daughter she was so tired that can't enjoy the live one. Best regards and continue sharing those excellent videos.
Thanks for sharing this, just returned from vacation there a week ago (back to uK) and filmed way too much in day and camera battery died 30 mins before this! wonderful memories and look forward to returning.

I went to disney in 2001 &2003 with my highschool to perform and then became a cast member in 2004... i miss it so much!! It has been waaaaaaaaayy too many uears since i've been back :-( ... this is one of if not my very favorite Disney show sondtrack!
If anyone is wondering why Disney hasn't changed this show aside from the restorations to the globe, it's because it's become an Epcot classic and has always been such a successful show. They really don't need to change it, it's so much more than a fireworks show and it doesn't feel outdated. All of the fireworks and effects are so well timed with the score (which REALLY adds to the show). It looks great on video, but you need to go see it in person to really experience what a great show it is. I personally love the opening, it's so powerful and epic.
I have yet to see it in person but just from videos I can tell it's an amazing experience. In person, can you see the globe ok from pretty much any angle on the lake? Like can you see the video playing on the globe?
+djlowtek You'll have a different perspective from different parts of the lake of course, but for the most part yes you can see what plays on it. IMO, the two best areas to view the show are the bridge that goes over the canal that feeds into the lagoon, and at the Mexico and Norway countries.
When ever I go to Disney, I look forward to visiting this park and watching the show

As a Disney Cast Member this was my favorite, and even years after leaving Disney it is still my favorite (not to mention I still have it memorized)! I remember lifeguarding at Yacht and Beach club, and certain areas of the pool we could hear the music..one of Disney's Best show soundtracks, I cant wait to see it next month when I go back!

Exellent job Sharp, you've really out done yourself on this video! People really don't understand the absolute feat of engineering that fire barge really is. They use an incredible amount of propane for this show which gets extremely hot. Add to that that there are LED screens, computers, and fireworks on that same barge which need to be kept cool. We all know that electronics and heat don't work well together.

Between Canada and the Disney Traders store directly north of the lagoon. You can see Liberty Inn in the opening timelapse, that should give you an idea of where we were.

I loved this Fire works show
The theme of illuminations is the world and all of it's people with a shared vision. In essence, it's a celebration of Earth and it's people.
To think Disney is gonna take this firework show down... in about 20 days.... is depressing.. thank you Epcot for giving me this amazing experience!

my favorite view was watching this from the rose and crown restaurant in the U.K got the nice breeze from the lake and didn't have to worry about people in your way would highly recommend that spot
I'm gonna be going to Disney next month, and even though I've been there 6 times before, it'll be my first time staying at Epcot after dark and seeing this!

Fun fact: Siemens pays for all the fireworks in the show with the exception of the special performance pieces like the "Holiday", "4th of July", and "Millenium" parts that are added to the original show at various times of the year.
@thecardmaster7000 We were on the north side of the lake. The globe is on the other side, better visible from the Japan or Germany pavilions.
If you ever see this show, make sure to stay afterwards. After RoE they play the soundtrack of Tapestry of nations, which was a parade that showed during the millennium celebration. It had a great soundtrack so I suggest you listen to it while you're there.
Its about the history of us a plant, beginning from where we started to where we are now. So it essentially is the reflection of us as people and how far we have come together.
That extra firework just said "Darn this I'm launching without you guys!" So funny!

I was there during my Spring Break last year!! I saw this show. It was pretty awesome!! I wish I had gotten some footage of it, though. Still pretty awesome!! XD
Getting the globe to the center of the lagoon is very tricky. There's a 6 in margin for error and if you can look close enough in the daylight, scratch marks are visible on the side of the walls where the globe comes from

No freaking way fantasmic is the best show ever made and wishes is so full of disney magic but yeah its par to par with wishes but fantasmic NOTHING can beat it its the best show ever made.
sharp productions, i love to film firework shows at theme parks and i thought this one was excellent i filmed the same show and wanted to know what camera you filmed this in. I filmed mine with a go pro hero 3 black edition and i wanted to know if you had any suggestions to make the firework shows look better with a go pro

i was there earlier this month and the only country that does not light up during the Illuminations is Morocco because it is against their belief

To me, Illuminations has gotten STALE. Real STALE. Been the same thing for about 14 years. Disney needs to change things up.
And when are they gonna add a new country to the World Showcase?
I also think there has to be cheaper options nowadays that will yield better results
I've never been able to see it in person, nor has many many other Disney fans. It's been a goal of mine for several years however it costs thousands of dollars to travel there and time to plan and save up for a trip like that. Please take that viewpoint into consideration.
I think they're planning on revamping EPCOT when the other parks have finished their current renovations. There's room for 4 more countries in World Showcase, it's crazy. Future World needs a facelift too. People are saying everything but Spaceship Earth is at risk of being replaced when they redo EPCOT. but they won't be touching World Showcase too much besides adding countries and changing the show if they do change the show.
I wonder what George Washington's reaction would've been if he went to the future and saw this... O.O
