Glad I found this video! I do a lot of art projects and use xacto knives and was told to try the Olfa 18mm knife. I just purchased one today along with some extra blades and I was wondering what to expect. Thank you for sharing!

I hope you like it as much as I do. While a bit pricier, I really do prefer it for any kind of "important" work. I still keep the old knives around for opening boxes :)

Are you planning on doing a video demonstrating this knife cutting foam? Would love to see it in use. Thanks!

Good suggestion! I was on the fence but I'll try and get a video in on the actual cutting, thanks!

In case you still haven't got the information you're looking for maybe this video can help, in that video he cuts the insulation with a serrated blade.

Funny you used a razor rather than the HF or Stanley to open the package.

Just a habit I think, I always have a 100-pack of single edge blades around and they're sort of my everyday utility "knife".
