- Each year the British Tunnelling Society awards its James Clark Medal to an outstanding contribution by a member of the UK engineering community and hosts an annual luncheon for the recipients and BTS Committee members at the Institution of Civil Engineers in Great George Street, London. The event was missed in 2020 but will resume in 2021.
