I'm teaching my grandson guitar. The A minor and E chord shape, I'm having him use his 3rd, 4th, 5th fingers. So when it's time for barre chords, he'll already have the shape, just use the first finger. As the nut of the guitar.

I don’t know what it is but I have more trouble with the B chord than those two; I think it’s because the index finger is spaced further than the other three that have to be close together but two frets over!

Buddy, weird question. It never looks like your actually BARRING all 6 strings the F barre chord. Looks like you're just pressing the low E string. Am I nuts?
