What do you do with the gophers, especially if they are still alive when you pull out the trap? Thanks. I just mowed my small lawn and got it looking beautiful, then I woke up to five large mounds all over the place. I almost cried.

I got one from Amazon and watched a couple of videos that made it such a process , that I didn’t use it for months until this video popped up & I set it with ease this morning , waiting for results ! Good job, sir ! John
This trap works great! I have 3 traps in the past week I’ve caught two gophers. Working on another that has moved into the opposite side of my yard this morning. If they are not available locally the manufacturer sells them direct on Amazon. Plus they are made in the USA.
Thats the thing, Whos got 20mins to carve out an elaborate scheme to catch infinte critters.the easier to set the dang thing the more gophers youll snare. This is wicked and effective. Them inline traps are good once. Seriously then diggem back out. Long overdue product thats effective
The problem I am having is their paths are on top, not deep(mulch bed) so its hard to keep the gopherhawk standing straight up since its so top heavy. Its always leaning the next morning, Is it ok to pack it down some around the trap? I pretty much have to flatten the tunnel to keep it from falling
This thing works great! I killed too many gophers a couple of years ago, tho, and voles moved in, holes everywhere..would rather have the gophers. I let a few gophers live on the edges of my yard to keep the voles away. If they start moving into the yard, I then put my Gopher Hawk to work!
Wish I had earth like that.... my decomposed granite is so hard to find their tunnels, and using the "wedge" is almost impossible. I have 1 successful kill from these
Did you pull up on the outer sleeve (black part) while holding the top of the plugger steady? You don't want to push down on the plugger. I think it helps to do it quickly. As long as the yellow band isn't showing the trap is set.
I am going on the hunt tomorrow...gonna burn the hair off and slap it on the griddle and put in a tortilla with some avocado and hot sauce. Hopefully it’s a quarter pounder!
You don't really need the kit. I used a long flat screwdriver to find the runs, worked perfectly. I have a cone-shaped gopher bait bottle that dug the hole.

The soil on the parkway area is pretty soft and loose and I have had no problem finding tunnels there, and that is where I have had success. The soil in the back if hard packed and difficult to find the actual run they're using. The metal snare at the end of the trap needs some reshaping occasionally but do recommend this trap, it's the simplest one I have ever seen.
I wish it was easier to set the trap. I had an extremely hard time setting the trap once I found the tunnel and I mangled the trap. He made it look so easy but it wasn't for me. I don't recommend for a person who doesn't have much upper body strength.
Ever since i discovered this trap and video tutorial, ive caught about 15 gophers. This trap saved my backyard.

I borrowed one of these and now I own one. My uncle is using it now so I might get another and give him mine. Love it.
After setting, took a shower. While dressing I saw that the trap was sprung. Caught it! All in 30 minutes! Great product.

It was recommended to me to bury the dead gopher back in the hole, as the rest of the gophers will avoid the carcass.

Hi -- should we hear a "click" or feel it snap into place when the trap is set? Neither my husband nor I can get it set. Maybe a defective one?

Put the golfer back in the hole so other golfers won’t use that hole
The Gopher Hawk has been a dud for me. Moles just fill the trap chamber with dirt and tunnel around it.
Maybe you're letting light get in? Or maybe you're not setting the trap in the main run?

The trap gets easier to set as the spring gets 'broke in' .
I use my chest at the end and use both hands to pull the trap up. I hear ya.
