I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with getting a dress off Ebay. You could get a fantastic designer dress that has only been worn once for very little money, and aren't we all supposed to be recycling? It's going for a 'brand new' cheaply made dress that is the problem. That said, I think the dress was actually quite pretty and had a nice shape. If it had been a size bigger it would have been fine, despite the bride's nit-picking about a few small thread ends that could easily be snipped off (and no I don't think that bead was actually falling off - thank you 'helpful' friend for pointing that out!).
This wasn't one where someone wore it once. He ordered it from one of those stores on eBay that sells temu products where people always make the "expectation vs reality" videos where they look like Halloween costumes

@@cyflym11 a little Crazy Glue could've helped with any loose beads, and my own off-the-rack wedding gown had some threads hanging that I carefully snipped with my crochet scissors. It's the idea that it didn't fit with which I would've been disappointed. Thrift shops are great too!

The whole thing with being a bride is not just about trying on your wedding dress in a wedding dress shop, it’s paying for your own wedding yourself. If you want someone else to pay for your wedding, you play by their rules. Did she not read the contract?

This series is several seasons old, everyone must know what to expect: hideous, cheap dresses, most of the money goes to stag night activities,...surely, those bridal meltdowns must have some heavy elements of theatrics included.
I believe the brides are actually deluded that once out of their clutches the grooms won't be themselves. Also, they have the production team following them, and the merest 'that's what she wants' would be picked up and assumed to be a breach of contract.

It was honestly not bad. A real wedding dress and better than many "ha ha worra larf" idiot attempts. Poor quality and cheap because it was... cheap. I suppose most blokes don't know that quality and sizes are very dodgy on internet and it's not an option for something so important.

Honestly I think the guy was a complete cheapskate AND and awful partner for making his bride to be upset with a dumb dress on eBay!! yes, it's pretty, yes it's fixable, BUT, would she want to remember that feeling of her partner not thinking about what she wants? She said "I thought I would be able to get to go to a boutique and feel like a princess" she is a QUEEN. I am getting married next year and I have my dress, and I picked it myself(even though I was originally looking for a Reception dress but I LOVE my dress and I really really want my fiance to see it but I can't show him until the wedding day.

Ladies if you are going to take part in this show, you have no choice, no input, no say, on anything. You are having a free wedding, but for that it is a price to pay. It's not all about the wedding dress or the wedding, it's about the life together after that one day. Sorry I just don't have much sympathy for the bride's. You want your perfect wedding then pay for it 😏
He blew it, hope he has money left for another dress. This isn't like other episodes, where the dress is beatiful but the wrong style. She can't even sit down in it and it's so small she can't move in it. It even hurts when she moves her arms. Why don't these guys even know her size?
The young lady will be beautiful. The seamstress would not have touched the dress if she thought it could not be repaired. None of the guests will be going over every inch of the dress looking for loose threads. The last minute concept of the show is bound to make people nervous but a free wedding is worth the stress.

And heavy duty repair by a seamstress will make the cheap dress cost as much as if they had gotten one off the rack at a basic bridal shop.
