This song was written in honour of Mark's grandmother who was a big help to Epica in their esrly years and who passed away during the creation of the "Design your Universe" album.
Heard it dozens of times and it still gives me chills when Simone hits those notes.
Thank you soooo much that you followed my recommendation 🤗 I love this song so much and a video is not necessary for this. I have my eyes always closed when I‘m listening to the pure emotions in Simone‘s voice. Once again thank you 🫶💕

Epica has a song that truly sounds like a Disney movie soundtrack. A very beautiful song, it’s called “twin flames”, there is a live version on RUclips, but the audio version is more like a song from Disney 😁

Another great song from and reaction to Epica. There is so much meaning to be found in their lyrics - and an evolution as well (I wrote earlier the passage from "you" to "we" (all do)) - so glad the lyrics and composition make you tick, as they do for me.

While there are some channels that churn out dozens of videos a week, while hardly adding anything of value, you're proving the worth of this video genre: That we can vicariously relive these intense musical moments, such as when we first heard Simone Simons launching herself into the chorus of Tides of Time.

@@AmericansLearn Meanwhile, you might want to do a song by Apocalyptica, with Simone as guest singer. She really shines in that one, both vocally and visually! The original song was called "Rise" and it was an instrumental. Then Epica toured together with Apocalyptica and they decided to do this collab. It's called "Apocalyptica & Epica - Rise Again (official video)"

You need to discover much more of this phenomenal band. After "Unleashed" I can't wait till you do "Serenade of Self-Destruction", a song about which Simone said (back in 2012) that it's her favourite to sing because she shows all her vocal abilities in it. Not to mention that the song itself is one of the greatest masterpieces ever written by Epica (or any other band). It's really stunning!

Epica is basicly looking positive on life, and embrace it, sometimes they go a little larger ans speak of the physics of ther universe, they also do have songs about some bad guys in the world, but again its the right way imo Epica look at it.
I actually learned a lot from this band, they made me think many times, about life in perspective..
