    • @nicoleowens2318
      @nicoleowens2318 Месяц назад +1

      Yeah, I have approached/sat with/given rides to/ate with and spent a lot of time with homeless people. A friend of mine is homeless, I have let him sleep on my couch once or twice. I have taken them to the store to buy needed medicine or food, even helped one study for his GED. Most homeless people are just kind people who were left to rot by society and their families, or their families were so messed up they didn't have a chance. My friend, for example, also had two sisters, a brother and a mother who were all homeless, and his dad was dead. Who can help them? Was it his fault? I don't know. I just know that we shouldn't assume they're all crazy or violent because a few are. Now you will never catch me approaching a sleeping homeless person because you have no idea what their demeanor is, you can't get a feel for them, but I recognize the kind and sad ones and always try to offer at least direct eye contact, a warm smile, nod and "hello." Every single time they look changed just to be looked at as human. Every interaction with a homeless person I have had was touching and impactful, both for me and them. I have brought multiple literal grown men twice my size to tears with just a firm hug and rubbing their back, telling them it's going to be okay. These are hurting people. I wouldn't stop for anything, let alone the random chance that I get attacked. I am apparently just as likely to get randomly attacked here anyways, as I live 2 miles from NYC. I'm just saying. I hate the thought of the homeless being looked down on as a whole just because of the miscreants who take advantage or are actually unhinged and violent. Most are just sad and hopeless. And, if you haven't noticed, ignoring them hasn't stopped the problem at all, the streets of NY are FULL of homeless people now. The problem is, they are letting in too many undocumented immigrants and letting violent criminals back out onto the street. This man belongs in a facility. Then it will be easier to take care of the citizens who have simply fallen on hard times. We shouldn't lump them together. Even the zombie addicts are sick. This is a societal problem, not a problem with someone trying to do a kind thing in a sick world.

    Why even gum up the court systems if they're going to be released anyways, just wait until the suspects rack up 20 calls and then charge them with it all at once.

    Dang. With all this crime, it makes me wonder how much it costs to keep prisoners in prison.

    Never approach a sleeping homeless person unannounced and uninvited. They could be on drugs or nuts.

    That's kind of crazy because the character on "Boardwalk Empire" Arnold Rothstein was actually murdered in Central Park.

    People act sooo shocked. Dude should have been walking around back in the 80s. Not saying it isn’t crazy out here. But the 80s was ridiculous crazy. Nobody walked around in these areas back then. Sometimes I walk around areas now that back then would be dead. I’m able to dance in these areas now.
