Note at 1:05 "You would NOT say 2 Centimetres and 3 Millimetres. Instead you would say 23 Milimetres" Because of this, it is madness to buy a tape Marked in Centimetres and tenth divisions thereof. (Also DO NOT buy a dual system tape.) However, it almost seems that there is a conspiracy to impede the introduction of the Metric System (SI) into North America by not making available Millimetre measuring tapes - some of which are produced there and sold only in other countries which require Millimetre tapes to be used in their Building Industry and associated Trades. One example of this is "33-829 Stanley FatMax 10m Tape Measure", produced in the USA but only sold elsewhere. However, there is at least ONE available, without resorting to importing, Search for FastCap-PMMR which is a "Metric/Metric Reverse measuring tape” with Millimetre markings on BOTH sides.
If you're here seriously watching this video, your name is probably "Corky". And you don't need this video because I'm sure they teach you this in Special Ed, along with the proper way to get on the short bus.
my tape measure has 10 smaller lines to make up one inch, not 16. is there a certain measurement that goes into an inch 10 times? based on what I've stated I'm trying to describe the measurement if a capsule that is one inch plus three of those black lines I described in Length & as for width/diameter is three of those smaller black lines shy of an inch.
23mm is 29/32nds (58/64ths). 25.4mm is 1 inch. there are 64 spots in MM. .3mm is 1/64th and add .4mm and you get .7mm which is 1/32nds. add .4mm and you get 1.1mm or 3/64ths. add 4mm and you get 1.5mm or 1/16th. add 4mm and you get 1.9mm or 5/64th. After 1/2 (32/64ths)inch or 12.7mm it changes. so 13mm or 33/64th...add .4 and you get 13.4mm or 17/32nds. add .4mm and you get 13.8mm or 35/64ths. add .4mm and you get 14.2mm or 9/16ths. keep doing this until you get to 25.4mm which is one inch.
This is a shot in the dark but is there anyone who can help me translate my dress measured from Inches into Meters im not good in math & really need help?
My measure tape is called a 10 meter tape measure but I was told that 1 meter equals 100 centimetres and the measurements on the tape look nothing like 100 centimetres so I am real confused
40 Inches is equivalent to 1.016 Meters how? 1 inch is equivalent to 25.4mm so 40 inches x 25.4mm is equivalent to 1016mm or 101.6cm, since 100cm or 1000mm is equivalent to 1 meter, and 1 meter is equivalent to 39.37 inches.
Americans, upgrade to the decimal metric system! The imperial system is out of date .......... feet ............ inches ......... once ........... third world stuff ......;

Where’s The Centimeter Millimeter And Meter
She has no idea😂
O:20 "the black numbers are inches and the red numbers are feet"
*that red 30 at the bottom: am i a joke to you?
This was confusing. I googled "on what side of the measuring tape is the centimeters?" and this came up. THIS DID NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION!
on the lower side of the tape usually with smaller numbers. those numbers are centimeters, little lines in between are millimeteres
Anonymous - Oh, thanks :-)

I'm lost. What happens if my feet are sore and I don't have any inches?
But my ruler thingy doesn’t have #’10 or #’11 so do I add like 2 inches or something?(the hashtags are for the numbers)

I got one thing correctly, its not 2cm, 3mm but 23mm ✌✌👌😍
23mm is 29/32nds (58/64ths). 25.4mm is 1 inch. there are 64 spots in MM. .3mm is 1/64th and add .4mm and you get .7mm which is 1/32nds. add .4mm and you get 1.1mm or 3/64ths. add 4mm and you get 1.5mm or 1/16th. add 4mm and you get 1.9mm or 5/64th. Amazing way to read it.

Why couldn't there be 40 inches in a meter?
40 Inches is equivalent to 1.016 Meters how? 1 inch is equivalent to 25.4mm so 40 inches x 25.4mm is equivalent to 1016mm or 101.6cm, since 100cm or 1000mm is equivalent to 1 meter, and 1 meter is equivalent to 39.37 inches.
