I can already see the tone changing from creepy doll that wants Andy's friendship at all costs, to, horrifying doll that throws a major temper tantrum because Andy no longer wants to be his friend. It's horrifyingly adorable.
So basically Chucky is a robotic WiFi-powered sadistic bodyguard for Andy instead of a possessed doll by a serial killer trying to take his soul...got it

5:07 I personally really like this shot, it really looks creepy, which is what I want from a killer doll. I'm still going by initial guess and believe Chucky's ai isn't the only thing going haywire. The way he's smiling just gives me the idea the gears in his mouth weren't meant to pull off that kind of expression which would add to the creepiness.
Just speculating , but it kind of seems to me like Andy’s father left them. So Karen and he relocated and she had to find a job on the spot . That’s why she seems so miserable working retail. I’m not sure if Andy and his father where close but I’m betting his name was Charles ...

Chucky activates all the Kaslan drones and Buddi dolls making his way to the Military school where Shelton would yell at Andy after he sees that Andy wasn’t paying attention, triggering Chucky into killing Shelton. When Andy tell the others about Chucky, some of them believe him while others think he’s lying. The ones who believe him join him in taking down Chucky, not knowing Chucky was prepared for it. It would be Robots vs Mankind. The poster for it could be Chucky smirking while 3 Kaslan drones fly behind him ( one above him, another on his left and the other on the right ) with the red light of the drones that almost resemble the light of a helicopter while Chucky holds one of his hands on his side as a sign that he is controlling the drones.
Andy: I want a buddi two. Chunky: ok ill put my WFI into that buddi 2. BOOM CHUCKY IS IN THAT BUDDI TWO doll why didn’t they did that for chucky? #buddi2

In regards to the eyes, in behind the scenes it says the eyes are going to be digital. That pic where you said the eyes looked dead.....they didn’t add effects yet
This just amped up my excitement for the movie even more! Can't wait to see the finished film, and to hear Mark Hamill's take on the doll. Also, looking forward to the toy store scene, and I agree: they better have a good lengthy scene of dolls killing customers left and right. If this is going to be rated R, they better have some smart kills and good gore.
I was slightly bummed when I saw no Brad but excited to see Mark in the role. At least with this it doesn't look like they're doing the Charles Lee Ray story line so I'm cool with it. Also that's most definitely Mark doing the innocent voice.
