I know you get this comment a million times a day, but I just wanted to give my thanks to you. I've started to learn guitar five times over, with several years in between. This year I really found the spark to learn and I have progressed far beyond anything I had previously (although I'm still not playing through a whole song) all because of you and your work. I have been encouraged by you as though you were teaching me face to face, your teaching style through a 15-30 minute video is priceless. If I were in a more financially stable position I would be buying up all of your courses just to give back as I know you do so much for this community that you have grown over the years and for newcomers to your channel and the instrument. Thank you Justin, a million times, thank you.
I have not listened to this song for over 10 years! We played it at my mums funeral and it always upset me when I heard it so it would turn it off. Thank you for uploading this as I think I should now learn this and play it to remember how awesome she was
Much easier to write the code correctly to start with rather than fix the bugs later on - a music hero by all means. Thank you again for all the work you are doing, making the guitar journey easy just as synchronous message passing in functional programming.
I learned guitar seeing your videos in your website. This was one of the first song I picked up on guitar all by myself. Thanks for everything Justin. :)
You needed to mention the guitarist on this track Justin, Dozens of session players had a try out and couldn't get what the producers were looking for, Until the amazingly talented Dominic Miller came into the studio and laid this version down, that everyone knows in around 10 minutes, Unbelievable really
It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart Without saying a word, you can light up the dark Try as I may, I can never explain What I hear when you don't say a thing The smile on your face lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall You say it best, when you say nothing at all All day long, I can hear people talking out loud (ooh) But when you hold me near (you hold me near) you drown out the crowd (out the crowd) Try as they may, they can never define What's being said between your heart and mine The smile on your face lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall You say it best (you say it best) when you say nothing at all Oh, the smile on your face lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall You say it best (you say it best) when you say nothing at all That smile on your face (you say it best) (When you say nothing at all) the truth in your eyes The touch of your hand lets me know that you need me (you say it best, when you say nothing at all) (You say it best, when you say nothing at all) nothing at all (You say it best, when you say nothing at all) nothing at all (You say it best, when you say nothing at all) nothing at all (You say it best, when you say nothing at all) nothing at all
Ronan Keating or Alison Krauss, it works. I never thought about learning this song & I absolutely love it. Amazing as always Justin, thanks for reminding me about this song. This is a good one for ear training, so I won't watch the whole thing now, and I'll come back to it to compare.
I’ve been doing this song for a few months after it was requested in one of my gigs (Told them I didn’t know it but I would the next week). I’m a finger picker and use a finger picking pattern similar to your flat picking and also use a strumming pattern on the chorus. I learned the Kieth Whitley version of this song and play it in D. I’m gonna try it in G, because I like the sound of the inversions in G better than D. Thanks for your video.
Justin, thank you SO much for covering this song. I only knew the Alison Krauss version and always wanted to play it. There's a beautiful RUclips of her, a guitarist and a mandolin playing it for president Obama. It's gorgeous. Anyhow, thanks again, and can't wait to learn this!
My FRIEND , you are the best teacher for me. Greatings from an old man from COLONIA, Köln, Germany Love your way and what a beautiful Song. I‘m also an acustic Fan from Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) Send us a Lesson😅 Loveley Greatings. Will from Colonia. Sorry my englisch. ❤
Yes, it's one of my favorite songs of all time, just so incredibly beautiful . Thank you for covering it. I'm very excited about learning how to play it. 👍👍👍👍👍
Update: I've been playing live as a single for many years. The chords are quite simple, but what is the challenge, at least for me is, how unique the changes are. Now, I see why you say this a well crafted song.
A great tune and well done mate! I believe most people are most familiar with the Allison Krauss version, but Ronan's version was great and maybe a bit overlooked!!
Hey Justin - thanks for all the lessons, I’ve learned so much from you mostly through RUclips but also from your website. I thought I would let you know about the inaccessibility of the app however to those of us totally blind using screen readers on our smart phones. I’m probably at intermediate level now, but I don’t know how useful the app could be because it just doesn’t work with screen reading software. Perhaps it’s something to think about in respect of an app upgrade.
J.. I think you're teaching approach is very unique, giving people more ways to embellish their minds,I do like the fingering on the G and the C chords, the lyrics are good I'm not a pop music guy, maybe I can put them in a blue song..ha..
I dont know where to propose that, but I've started learning Nothing Else Matters from Metallica, and I thought, it would be great, Justin, If you refreshed the tutorial you've made long time ago. You have to beat Marty's tutorial!!!
Hi Justin greeting from Melbourne Australia, i want to buy your accoustic songbook but the postage from UK is about the same as the cost of the book, is there an e book version that i can purchase? Thanks heaps. Been learning alot from you for the past year.

A Great Keith Whitley song!!!!
This channel is such a gift. Thank you yet again Justin.
His books are great too.
I appreciate that!
There's nothing better than D'ing up the G :)
I like how he notices.... "sounds weird doesn't it"
I appreciate how much you stress staying in time, it is the key to music.

My favorite C&W singer. One of my favorite songs too.
I learned this a few years back but have somewhat forgotten it. Glad to see you teaching this wonderful song!
It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart

There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me
The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall
You say it best (you say it best) when you say nothing at all
Oh, the smile on your face lets me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me

Your lessons & technique are so effective.
Your singing is constantly improving with every new song. Bravo.
True. He sings better than in his earlier years.
We used to play this song as a fast punk style cover at the end of gigs. Everyone knew it but they could never figure out why or where from!
Another great lesson and great advice going from a beginner to intermediate level. Thankyou
I’ve been doing this song for a few months after it was requested in one of my gigs (Told them I didn’t know it but I would the next week). So many of your songs have open D and G chords in them. :-) I'm not complaining. It's made me much more proficient at changing between them...
Never knew the name of this one 'cos I'd only ever heard the chorus incomplete in an advert- THANKS, Justy!
My pleasure :)
The best guitar teacher on U Tube Also has a good voice Keep up the wonderful work you are doing!!
Justine in his heyday 😁✌️. What a lovely teacher and of course the song by Ronan Keating.

No idea what your talking about at 4:40. Went far too fast for me there :D
Cool song! What a nice way to say stfu. :)
I only made it to piss you off. It worked.
The Alison Krauss version is probably better IMHO!!!
👍
Played and sang 100 time's better that RK 👍
you have a mediator red in your sofa ;)
Would have been better with fingerstyle in the the into i think 🙏🙏
This song has no Irish in it. Keith Whitley made the definitive version. Forget Ronan Keating.
Ronan Cheating.
Keep the rhythm going no matter what……got it……but when it starts to go bad….lol, it may be complete non-musical jibberish with no hope of recovery unless I course correct
Just signed up for premium. Has my wife's name not mine. can't sign in. Boy am I stupid? Frustrating
