How To Play When You Say Nothing at All - Ronan Keating (cover) - Easy 3 Chord Tune - G, C, D - Originally written by Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz, and performed by Keith Whitley, this is my take based on Roan Keating's version of the song. This is really nice tune. It sounds great on an acoustic guitar and can be played in any situation calling for a pretty slower tune. Please have a look at this tune and enjoy. Thank you!!
Awesome! What is the strumming pattern? Thank you!
Is my favourite song, like it very much, is great you show it very nice way to play, gonna learn this song..hehehe
Hope can sing this song for my future girlfriend
Thanx, Good luck with it, I'm sure you will do great!!!
Thankyou. Enjoyed your set there. Any tips for absolute novices?
Welcome!! Take your time, be patient, don’t expect too much too soon, and play as often as you can, even if it’s only a few minutes and you will get a little better each time. And last but not least, make sure your guitar is at the ready in a guitar stand where you hang out a lot,?you will pick it up
More I’d it’s in the open rather than in a case in the closet. Good luck and enjoy your journey!! It will be one of the best decisions you ever made for your self.
Great!!!! Thank you!!!
Thanx, you are welcome
Love it 😍
Great lesson, can you do wagon wheel ?
Sure, here it goes

Great song. Any tips for barring? Thanks once again.
Practice is the best method, you have to build up strength in your fingers which comes with practice, good luck with it
I loved that song, I remember hearing when I was a kid on CMT. Im more partial to Faith Hill's version though lol
I like that version as well, thanx for tuning in

How you getting on with that banjo marty 🍺🕶🤙🏻💰💰💰🇬🇧
Hi Party Marty I was just thinking to myself I would love to play When you say nothing at all. Low and behold I found you video. Spooky eh? I like the way you stum to it. Also another l want to play and sing to is Save the last dance for me. I like your version of that too. I will practice the palm mute. Do you have a video on Steets of London. Ralph Mctell? I would like to see a list of your tuition songs. Thank you for the two I h have mentioned.
Thanx times 2!! I am glad you like my vids. That is a great tune. I am trying to get to a ton of requests right now but I will keep yours in mind for a possible future project. Thanx for tuning in and good luck to you
Love this song and trying to learn it. I can't seem to strum soft when I use a pick and the pick keeps turning so I have to use fingernails to play. Any advice on how to strum softly when using a pick? or should I just stick with fingernail on forefinger for strumming?
Try getting a very thin pick. They are more forgiving. As you get a little more experience you will be able to get a softer sound with a little heavier pick. That's what I did anyway. Give it a try.
👌👌👌
Nice but could you highlight the strum pattern please 🙏
Hey mate. Any chance you could do a cover of NIALL HORAN, SLOW HANDS. Cheers. Greattunes by the way.
This is a really great tutorial. However I can't play with a pick and get a soft strum. No matter how soft I try to strum with a pick, it still sounds very loud, especially string 1 (high E). I can't see how you can do a soft strum with it. For now I will just use my nails but I hope I can adapt.
Keep trying, you will find the sweet spot. It just takes lots of practice. It will
Come, good
Luck
Big Fan of yours Marty. I am certain you have a hard drive full of requests from all the people who watch you. But What about the all time famous -16th Avenue- written by the great Thom Schuyler? That has to be somewhere in your arsenal right???
Thank you, I'm glad. I have quite a few indeed. I save them all but I'm afraid i will never answer all of them. That is a great tune. I am trying to answer a lot of requests right now but will keep yours in mind for a possible future project. Thanx for tuning in. Hey, I'm trying to reach 100k subscribers so please spread the word about my channel, it would be greatly appreciated
Hello Mr.Marty, could you pls teach the original from 'Keith Whitley' exactly the way he plays in the Video, thanks
That is a great tune from a really great artist, I am trying to answer a lot of requests right now but will ad this to the list for a possible future project, thanx for tuning in and good luck to you
Excellent rendition specially for newbees. Also, what strum pattern are you playing with? Cheers
Thanx, I'm glad you like it, it's just a really soft up and down strum. I made it my own a little which is what I ant the viewer to do as well. Strumming pattern comes with practice. Trust me, it will get better, good luck with it
Im just starting out to play guitar and strumming patterns are my waterloo :( cant figure... Help!!
Just relax and keep playing and make it your own. Don't strum the strings to hard, softly brush them, less is more at first. Good luck to you
Thanks Marty
You are very welcome!!!
