    Discovered your channel this afternoon, ended up watching a few of your videos and then subscribing, I just finished this diy short shift 11pm at night, all thanks to you! When I put it in gear the first time my reaction was "is that in 1st? No way? That short of a throw? Holy shit!" it truly makes a huge difference! Keep up the great work my guy 👍🏻

      It really makes a HUGE difference. I do suggest getting a linkage bush kit from midas or another spare shop to change while you are at it. I'll make a video fitting one on my car so that you know where they all go. I'd say it reduces the throw by about 50% atleast as well as the side to side movement. Best part is that if it isn't for you, all you need to do is put the rod back into the original hole.

    Hey bud, I would like to do this mod as well but I wanted to ask you if drilling a 12mm hole worked well for you? As you mentioned, you hope that it wasn't going to be too tight. Also does one have to straighten out the metal piece that the bushing goes onto? Would it not be okay to leave the shape as is?

    • @Lucky13Customs
      @Lucky13Customs  3 года назад +1

      Hey man, 12mm worked perfect 👌 you can drill the hole lower without bending it straight, the lower you go with the hole the shorter the throw is going to be which is why I straighten it out. You can even drill 2 holes if straightening it out which will give you three adjustable options which you can change to suit how you want it.

    • @tariqmall2807
      @tariqmall2807 3 года назад +1

      @@Lucky13Customs Awesome stuff! It's probably better to do it the way you did and straighten it out in order to drill 2 holes just in case the adjustment is needed. Thanks a lot man! I'll try to get it done in this week when I have some time. 🙏🏼

    • @Lucky13Customs
      @Lucky13Customs  4 года назад

      Hey man, thanks for the support! You will probably need to adjust the splined shaft that runs under your car from your gear shift to the linkages on the gearbox. Makes small adjustments at a time and you will get it perfect within like 15 minutes. Also would be st to get a replacement Bush kit at the same time
