old F-104 was amazing, it could dodge any missile in game without flares on front aspect, it also could turn 21g's on rb settings, and even dogfight in stall scissors. but sadly they steal 50% of a turn (((
It's me, the dude that commented oh so long ago that the F-104 was the most OP plane, even better than the Crusader. Gaijin just got around to nerfing this thing, and they nerfed it hard. Essentially they made the wings MUCH MUCH worse, now they need more angle to generate the same lift which impacts literally everything on the plane. It's now noticeably slower, doesnt turn at all and when it is turning it bleeds all of it's speed. It has turned from lawn dart to metal spike with an engine, but its still the fastest thing at the BR, even if now it doesnt turn, doesnt have flares and has no energy retention.
They nerfed it into hell, it used to just pull 15G and keep doing it, now it just sh*ts speed Still the fastest acceleration and top speed at the tier, and you can just... run away. Go to space, and then back down onto enemies and as long as you don't try to TURN FIGHT IN A FLYING PENCIL, you'll be fine.
I dont want to be rude but why do u research shitty modules instead of good ones? Also when u try to land and going to git the ground with belly just deploy landing gear. Sometimes it will save you

I’m currently doing this too. I’m so pissed I got it after the nerf. This is miserable.
I remember stock grinding this a month maybe a bit more ago and the pain…MY GOD is it rough
