I only know the RB-05 from DCS, and in DCS it even has an adjustable proximity fuze depending on the size of the target. I‘m currently grinding the swedish Air tree though.
This was my strat with the AJS73 Viggen in DCS World. The RB75s were TERMINATOR missiles, they would legit do loop d’ loops chasing planes. It was insane.
As a sim fanatic, we have had to deal with zombie bombers this event and our favorite way of getting rid of them, since they predominantly fly allies, is to use the Kh-29T/TE/TD as an air to air missile that is Un-Flareable and fire and forget. The Vkhyr also has a proximity fuse so the Su-25T (especially the 39 with its Kopyo radar) are amazing at this. Personally, I make use of the Su-17M4, Su-39, and Su-24 for this role
It works very well with the French AS-30L laser guided agm on the Jaguar. Also 10km launch range. Lots of smoke tho, but A-10s love to fly low and straight.
Eh, depends on the air tree. I main France and all the way up to 12.0 is super fun, 12.0 - 12.7 is where I start to agree a bit. Now once you hit the Mirage 4000 (8 Magics :)) and Mirage 2000-5F (Mica-EM's :)) the game quickly turns into some of the most fun gameplay ever again. I just got the Rafale spaded and I've been having fun with the plane in both BVR and dogfighting and I don't even have an expert crew. I average about 3-4 kills when I dive into their team with about a 50/50 chance of dying, but that 50/50 is why I'm getting 3-4 kills. I play far too greedy with my Rafale, same with the 5F.
@@themanhimself6696 Well if you're carrying Fox3 missiles at 12.0-12.7 you're automatically the top dog so glad to see someone using 7F's at 12.7 As for the F15J, yeah anyone flying an F15 should have fun in the game its arguably one of the best planes for it's tier even as an F15A.
The mind games you can play with AGMs… love using laser guided ones against people who just fly in a straight line while flaring. Great for making people waste countermeasures. Mavericks are sort of a bad choice because, even among AGMs, they have some of the worst maneuverability and energy retention. You have to wait until people are slow most of the time.
The mavs have a max speed of Mach 0.9 and only pulls 6Gs, along with no proxy fuse, so it's very hard to use it against fast and or maneuvering targets, but with faster and more maneuverable missiles it can be quite doable
Aim-9Es are actually pretty good, only the Aim-9J has more situations that it can be used in, while the Aim-9E is limited in some aspects. I wouldnt call it rubbish tho...
In my A-10 I took out a Tornado's tail controls with the gun but only counted as a critical hit and he wasn't crashing but couldn't maneuver. He was still too fast to catch and I was out of AIM-9s when I remembered this video and actually secured the kill with an AGM-65D.
the 12.3 su25 has the best agms for that the 11.7 one has 16 agms but you need to manually set the lead so it doesn't miss, and it has proxy fuse, but even after making the adjustment you must keep looking at the enemy (its beam guided) and that always kills me
I've done this before many times. The best way to do this is to wait until the enemy is climbing and stalling out. Then fire the AGM and they're going slow enough to where they cant outpull it and their flares wont do anything about it.

AGM 65 is one of the heavier AGM’s, something like the brimstone or some of the russian ones are lighter and faster although they are laser guided like Sarah missiles rely on radar guidance
i still do this with drones and helis, but i used to always do this with the mavs back when the Mig-29 got added used to work fairly well now i only use it in grb
Watch out for the moment that you might grow your channel enough for gaijin to offer you anything. If you do - please don't fall into the pit of small wt creators who fall off right at the moment when gaijin starts giving them out test drives and premiums. Just have fun and don't ever force yourself into playing WT !
‘Actually’ and ‘works’ are doing a lot of heavy lifting. To be fair, I have used AGMs against aircraft occasionally, I’ve killed a few when I was playing the A-10, so it is better than nothing if you’re in a pinch, but that’s not saying much
They are super useful in a ground rb match where a trip to the base and back would last longer than the rest of the match, also helicopters are a slow target and vice versa I've been in a heli with 16 AGMs and acted like a mobile SAM site
When i had the f5e i realised the agm and tested it and every time they went to there airfield i shot my agm dogfighting is bad so stay fast and high and its very funny some people get very very mad
the lack of proxy is what makes it harder to kill planes. could've gotten 2 more earlier if it do proxy. seems best to do in head-ons and the enemy is going straight. Base bombers I'm coming >:3

@@henrycastle6584 it button I use is on my mouse not sure if that changes it. But I switch to them so they are the selected weapon and then press the lock ground target key which brings up the little square then just hover over someone and it should lock.

The problem is Mavericks are practically contact weapons with directional charges most AA missiles are proximity with HE and massive shrapnel.

I usually use them to trick people to using flares/chaff so i can use the actual air to air missiles

I always carry Kh-25ML with Su-39 and any other planes that has FLIR lock capability. kh25ml is supprisingly maneuvers well and is fast.
