It's not Bhutto its Pakistan Army who didn’t handover the power to elected govt. Bhutto played a very small rule according to the Army order. If you wanna know the proper history then read book from outsider of Pakistan.
Bhutto complained about Ayub not informing nation of what went down in the Tashkent conference yet conveniently hid his own dealings from the nation during 1971 war
You forgot the most important aspect. Bangladesh got rid of Feudalism a long time ago. Land reform allowed political power to shift to masses. Thus masses then got politicians who made policies that would benefit their power base. Thats how you get policies like population control and education investment. Whereas Feudals/Vaderas of Pakistan don't get their power from masses. They control all the land and source of wealth and thus dont need to make pro population policies.

Bangladeshis realized that secular nature of state is best fr governance and progress...which is self-evident! Plus, the liberalisation of policies since the 70s certainly played a role in rapid manufacturing base, even though of a labor-intensive kind! And the coupling of that with exports was a sheer winner fr that country. I have scores of frnds in dat country nd lived n worked there during my stint in comm. industry...they are warm hearted and hard working...plus u hv the native Bengali creativity, innovation and intelligence...a great combination!
There is a leadership crisis in pakistan. You just can't deny this. No matter how good a Policy maker is trying to perform, there is a lack of one call system in pak. And until a System is established where only one call is in power we can't progress. The nation you are talking about believes in hardworking and constructive growth whereas Pakistan is consistently maintaining its downward trajectory or destructive growth rather in terms of policies or regulations.
Pakistani economy can pick up tomorrow if decide not to sell raw material and instead sell finished goods. The cotton that we sell for peanuts gets imported to Bangladesh and turn into finished goods for brand in US, UK and European retail market with a high profit margin. Its just basic economy not rocket science we fail to comprehend.
This partnership can only happen if the Pakistani government makes an official apology to Bangladesh for the war crimes and genocide committed by the Pakistani army on Bangladesh at 1971.
This was a great podcast. Very informative and educational. It was wonderful to listen to the guest and kudos to Junaid Akram for having such talks that are especially beneficial for the young ones out there. The advice regarding educating Pakistan by the youth sounds really great. I had a similar idea (but it was not as elaborate as the guest's idea) as it gives me great pain to see Pakistani youth searching for jobs and suffering from unemployment. It would be great if the government of Pakistan implements this plan as good ideas like these need to be heard and executed on national level. We have great minds, potential and ideas in Pakistan. Let's hope all this doesn't go to waste. Once again, what a wonderful podcast!

I am an Indian living in France since a decade. Indeed I see a lot of Pakistanis doing amazing progress here in Europe, in any sector (top banks,IT copanies, research firms entrepreneurships, government sector jobs, any sector you name). I am adding two bits here from my experiences regarding that "extractive form of corruption". (Ambani building their Antilia in Mumbai and not in Dubai or London) Sir, not only your corruption money but the money earned by Pakistanis here in developed western countries (not those middle eastern labour market) also doesn't reach home as much as it should be. It is always discussed amongst our desi Indo-Pak friends groups (jokingly) that Pakistanis progress faster here because they don't send money home. They have almost left Pakistan forever and they know they are not going to go back to live there, while Indians, at least in their first decade keep sending money to India only. That's because in their minds, India is still their first home where they intend to return back whenever they can. (It's different story that after a few more years, they finally decide to not return, but they have built heavy aseets there in India in mean time). And you know why so ? It's because of freedom, liberty. Whenever people from conservative countries come and libe in thr liberal ones, they immediately want to settle down there forever. India was comparatively a more liberal country to live by now. (Before Modi came to power ;-) ) India too is now becomming more and more conservative and fanatic country (ruled by mindless fatwas of Sadhus and so called Godmen), and the results of this will be seen in next decade. Yeah, by now you saw Ambanis building their home in India itself and not abroad, but if India continues to be like this (Modi regime), the next generation of billionaires will not build their next "Antilia" in India ;-) . And I am not saying this as an Indian Muslim but a common citizen. This is the view of freedom loving Hindus too.

Bangladesh started to work in its education system in the early 90s, and now it is paying off. It is not hard to increase the number of teachers, in fact, that is the easy part. The hardest part is to make rural people understand why education is important and how it will make their lives better. I remember my aunt worked for a prominent Bangladeshi NGO called BRAC and her job was to visit rural parts on Bangladesh and increase awareness for education. In rural Bangladesh, parents did not send girls to school at all and only a small percentage of boys went to school until they were strong enough to work in the rice paddy. If parents do not send their children to school, there will not be any education.
Now Japani mango 'Sun-egg'...per Kg..7000.00 Bangladeshi Tk.( $ 82.40) is now availabel here.....do you know it? No country even success to cultivate it except Bangladesh and Japan is very happy to buy all like Tuna fish which can mosly found in bay of Bengal.
@6:07 In Pakistan political parties do not want to devolve power to a local level take for example Karachi a city the size of a small country is being governed by the provincial government, why? Because all the money is generated from Karachi and PPP which has maybe one seat from the city does not want to hand the control to citizens of Karachi.

Very good video, another reason to Bangladesh's growth is they made peace with India and they don't spend as much on defence. May be India and Pakistan should make peace and declare the LOC as international border and live in peace.
Uzair younud really has a very deep knowledge and understanding about economy and Bangladesh. Being a Bangladeshi I am surprised by his understanding and awareness about the current situation of Bangladesh. I was feeling every words of him. And junaid Vai. You are a gem. Find a convenient time to visit Bangladesh. I want to meet you. I watch your podcast often.
Hi, I live in Canada and lots of frozen vegetables are from Indian origin. Frozen Paalak, Okra, Karela, Green chillies, Arvi and lots of other vegetables. I also buy frozen Cheekoos and bought frozen mangoes (taste awful) and also from India. I see only tin pack saag from Mitchel and is from Pakistan. I don't know why but we never focused on exporting frozen fruits and vegetables from Pakistan and we claimed that we are an agriculture country.
junaid let's have a talk on start ups and their benefits... ......... 😎😎😎😎

Please Convey these excellent ideas to higher officials.
The Reason Why They reach Economic Heights Are:
1) They Never Fought Any War
2) 0 Territorial Conflicts
3) 0 Existential Threats
4) 0 Ethnic Insurgency (90% ethnic Bengalis)
5) 0 Political Opposition (1 party authoritarian rule)
& In Pakistan Unfortunately Everything Exists.
🤔
India also has territorial conflicts, has fought wars and yet India is growing fast

I am from Bangladesh 🇧🇩, but to be honest this is one of the focused discussion I have heard from Pakistani.....
this show is much better than shows broadcasted on television
Bangladesh is rising bcoz of Bengali culture of literature, their focus is on education..
"Uzair Younus" A brilliant person from Pakistan. I was really shocked & surprised to see a Pakistani so brilliant
This nation will never forget Bhutto for what he did in 71 by not giving gov to Sheikh Mujibur Rehman.
He liberated banglaedsh from kashmir problem
Or else it would have remained like pakistan
You think army would allow that even if bhutto stepped out
It's not Bhutto its Pakistan Army who didn’t handover the power to elected govt. Bhutto played a very small rule according to the Army order.
If you wanna know the proper history then read book from outsider of Pakistan.
Bhutto complained about Ayub not informing nation of what went down in the Tashkent conference yet conveniently hid his own dealings from the nation during 1971 war
Behind the success of Bangladesh I am giving all credit to our superior honorable priministar Shaykh Hasina's brilliant policy making for development
Shaikh Hasina didi-ma is a great leader... all respects to her from India
Really appreciate such a wonderful, informative and motivationg discussion.
Positive vibes....
They control all the land and source of wealth and thus dont need to make pro population policies.
love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 to my Muslim ummah
Giving 17% GST off while paying from RAAST will be a revolutionary idea. Really admire you guys for such amazing ideas. So good

52:30 literally 100% true. Without learning anything from schools or colleges i have started coding. Even my teachers couldn't get that how i did something in the system.
one of the fine podcast!

We do have this in India. Teach for India is a program actually started by Times of India and GOI. I also have taught children for 1 year.
I was litterally yesterday researching this topic and u posted this podcast today. Wht a coincidence
Thank you so much to both of you for sharing such amazing ideas and information.
Recently india move it's Hand forward to start exporting Cotton and sugar after req from pak side
Pakistan took U turn on last moment
So it's very unfortunate of pak

I am an Indian living in France since a decade. Indeed I see a lot of Pakistanis doing amazing progress here in Europe, in any sector (top banks,IT copanies, research firms entrepreneurships, government sector jobs, any sector you name).
I am adding two bits here from my experiences regarding that "extractive form of corruption". (Ambani building their Antilia in Mumbai and not in Dubai or London)
Sir, not only your corruption money but the money earned by Pakistanis here in developed western countries (not those middle eastern labour market) also doesn't reach home as much as it should be.
(Before Modi came to power ;-) )
India too is now becomming more and more conservative and fanatic country (ruled by mindless fatwas of Sadhus and so called Godmen), and the results of this will be seen in next decade.
Don't worry man modi will be gone in 2023 election
Dont worry Modi will become PM in 2024
..Dont hate Modi bcoz You are from a specific community.....
Hence proved a Muslim will always have soft corner for Pakistan
Fascinating to get such a minutely-observed outsider's perspective on our country
Love your educational videos♥️♥️

@@sidjain999 agree.

Brilliant guest!! Hope he gets a chance to serve in the government!
Younus Bhai thanks for telling that concept of extractive corruption and domestic corruption , really good concept to classify corruption.
Very simply explained the economics concepts,Zubair Bhai loved to listen to you👏👏
