@Sick Beats I can't say anything about no. of kids they have as I amn't a local. But I wasn't saying about religion, I was only saying about migration. But you have a good point. But on point of Syeds , it's possible but very rare that someone's ancestors from 8-10 generations has only pure Syeds because it's an infinite chart , 1 person has 4 grandparents just think about permutations and combinations required to carve out that 1 pure Syed , who doesn't have a single gene of converts.

University? Fatima bint Muhammad Al-Fihriya Al-Qurashiya (فاطمة بنت محمد الفهرية القرشية‎) founded the world’s first university in 895 CE in Fez, which is now in Morocco. She is more usually known simply as Fatima al-Fihri and when she and her sister inherited their father’s wealth she used her share to found The University of Al Qarawiynn.

Dear Pakistani folks who deny their cultural identity: People from sub continent have these differences (Hindi, Muslim, etc.) in their minds, but when go out of the sub continent, random people without priori knowledge of you will identify you as an "Indian". You like it or not! Understand the difference between culture and religion. You could be Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, etc., but culturally, in most parts, you will follow the culture of the subcontinent which has been influenced by the Harappan culture, Vedic culture, Buddhist culture, Tribal culture, etc. You should be proud of it! After all, It is a longest surviving culture in the world (3500 B.C. to present).

@Hassan Maybe. But the OP here was referring to a specific comment by Junaid which was about the past. Perhaps you didn't like that, but that's a separate matter. Gloating over past glory (real or imaginary) is a political tool that Trump, Erdogan, Putin and Modi all use to connect with less educated/aware voters. Personally I can say that 0 percent of my time is spent thinking about my cultural past on most days.

    • @nm-nm-nm
      @nm-nm-nm 3 года назад

@Hassan He may have meant cultural identity (which is valid) not the present religious or national identity. Since he didn't clarify, we don't know. I agree no one should be living in the past. Also, speaking as an Indian, I am ready to acknowledge that humans came from Africa. We even have ancient African tribes living in India's remote islands, so nobody can deny that. It's easier for me to accept that my genetic identity may come from people who are atheist or animistic. And I am sure that nobody in present day India (despite Modi RSS etc) will kill me for saying so in public.

In the second email, You are kinda right but not mostly. The thing is that we have adopted a lot of things from Hindu culture such as shaming widow and divorcee marriage which comes from suttee etc. Also, Hinduism is not a religion, it comes from the Persian word for river Indus which comes from the word "Sindh". (The Persians replaced the S with a H) So a Hindu is basically anyone living east of the river Indus (So, in a sense, are we all Hindus? IDK man). The true name of the religion is "Sanatana Dharma". People often confuse the 2 and not only Muslims but often even Hindus don't know the difference. Early marriages can also create a lot of problems and if we don't want them to occur, we need to eradicate traits like divorcee shaming and dowry. It can be done but it's difficult here. In Arabia, people could be divorced twice, thrice or even more than that but they wouldn't be stigmatized and that's why it works there. Changing entire cultures that have persisted for centuries is a very difficult task.

For 59:32 brother's wife problem, I can relate to this guy because I was interested with a cousin who is year younger than me. My brother was engaged to another elder cousin so I thought I would eventually marry her but I was wrong. My brother engagement was broken and the cousin's father died. As a result, family engaged my father with younger cousin whom I am interested in so she and her family came to US.
I told my parents about my feelings but I was bashed. Eventually I didn't attend my brother nikah ceremony and my sisters wedding ceremony by intentionally taking heavy semester in college at US.
I avoided that family for about 2 3 years eventually I went back to Pakistan to accept the reality by visiting my cousin home. Still I tried enough interaction to accept her as my bhahi but not much to build my feelings again. I didn't allow her to take selfie with me.
When I came back, I told my mother I will not live at home when she came to US and eventually I will settle at university campus for study. I will not live in combine family. If I was not consult for the marriage of brother then there's no point of obey my parents wish. I was not in favor of a bhabi who is 4 year younger to me because I can't give her respect as a mother or a elder sister.
Meanwhile, I was trying to convince myself that I will not marry a cousin due to genetic reasons because my parents are already cousin.
I don't agree with Junaid you should go for marriage and separation as soon as possible. More interaction is harmful. I hope my experience will be helpful.

I disagree with a part of your answer on 2nd question. If in Western society people have GF/BF and have sexual intercourse at an early age as 16 - 18 and they don't talk about financial problem then why it is wrong if someone marries early which is the halal(right way)? If someone has financial concern you can do nikkah but do the ruksati or live separately after the person has got the job. I know someone who married earlier when they were in 19 year of age, both were living with their own families but met each other 2-3 times a week. After they both graduated they started living together and went to a gulf country.

Good points for the Hindu society answer. Of course, our ancestors were mostly Hindus, with some Sikhs and Buddhists. So what? Weren't arabs pagans before Islam came? Weren't Iranians Zoroastrians before Islam? I hate this inferiority complex we have. 'Hindu culture' is part of our heritage and we should take ownership of it. Now if I can maybe get a decent point out of the question(assuming OP had good intentions just didn't phrase it right), which is how some trends in OUR CULTURE(which shares a lot of similarity with Indian culture) are against islam, like the widespread dishonesty, corruption, domestic violence, mob justice, then it is a completely valid point. Some parts of our so called 'Hindu culture' are completely fine i.e. our dressing, our food, our language etc. But there are some things like misogyny/domestic violence that have seemed to stuck around which are against Islam. In fact so many of the issues we hear about on this podcast are because of cultural trends and would not exist if everyone was a better Muslim.
As for early marriages, now some scholars are of the opinion that it should be encouragedfrom an Islamic perspective. We know that many of today's youths that resort to looking at porn etc. and haram relationships, and maybe at least some of them will control themselves better if they know for sure that they only have to wait a few years. Maybe we would have less of a porn addiction epidemic. However, of course, this depends on whether the guy is mature enough which it seems in most cases they aren't. So I feel first there should be a focus on teaching maturity. I guess one way would be to make them start working when they turn 15/16. Marriage education courses mandated by the government could help or even psychological assessments. Also as mentioned most people would require some financial assistance from parents.
I have heard it is common for Gulf arabs to get married young (i.e. in their early 20s). Now I don't know how good their marriages are but if they are working then we should learn from them. Similarly, if there are some good things about Turkish culture we should also learn from them. However, never think they are superior in any way. I am sure there are some things Arabs and Turks can learn from Pakistani culture. Just let go of this inferiority complex bullshit.

An intrusive thought is an unwelcome, involuntary thought, image, or unpleasant idea that may become an obsession, is upsetting or distressing, and can feel difficult to manage or eliminate. When such thoughts are associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), and sometimes attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the thoughts may become paralyzing, anxiety-provoking, or persistent. Intrusive thoughts may also be associated with episodic memory, unwanted worries or memories from OCD, post-traumatic stress disorder, other anxiety disorders, eating disorders, or psychosis. We the Muslims of subcontinent tend to follow Arabic culture because the religion of Islam was spread to Arabs firstly by the prophet Muhammed SAW. He had spent his whole life in Arab lands and the only language he spoke was Arabic. The Islamic traditions have a lot to do with Arab traditions , reason is the Sunnah ( the way the prophet spoke , act , basically his lifestyle ). All Muslims aim to follow the Sunnah and since the prophet is Arab his Sunnah has a lot of arabic traditions.
That's why we prefer Arabic culture and it is so important to us muslims. It’s not a must but of course it’s better.

Junaid bhai, let's get few things corrected regarding second question:
    1. India was not a hindu country. Yes, Indus valley is more than 5000 years old, but people in Harappa/mohenjo daru didn't practised what is now called hinduism.
    2. Yes, muslim rulers from north west invaded india - just like Greeks, Aryans, mongols, huns before them.., but that doesn't mean any forceful conversions happened on a mass level. Otherwise, no hindu would've left in the country during 800 year muslim rule.
    3. When Mohammad Bin Qasim came in 712, Buddhism was quiet popular in India. But by the time muslim rule was established in 13th century, majority of the population were hindu. Guess what happened in those six centuries
    4. Why we feel more connected to other muslims instead of our ancestors? Because this is what islam teaches. That bond of religion is greater than any bond, regardless to caste, colour, and nation. This is the main reason why we feel the pain of muslims in every part of the world - be it palestine, kashmir, syria, myanmar, libya, etc.
    5. I have listened you saying many times that we pakistanis have created a false image of turkey. While partially true, this statement is pretty one-sided. Just like few posh areas of karachi/lhr/isb don't represent whole pakistan, few suburbs of istanbul/izmir/bodrum where we can easily get sharaab/shabab don't represent all of turkey. If it was the case otherwise, an islamist like Erdogan would've never been democratically elected.
    6. Lastly, ties between turkey and Pakistan are not out of the blue. Subcontinent muslims had huge admiration for Ottoman empire. Even our founding fathers like Iqbal and MA Jinnah have been photographed while wearing turkish hat as a symbolic gesture for caliphate.

    • @asfandyar5570

      1. Dumb retort. Indus valley had inscriptions of gods and goddesses on walls, the civilization used to be a proper well planned territory ruled by kings who were in turn answerable to the deities. People in Hadappa/Mohanjodero practiced early form of Hinduism -
      2. Oh....no forceful conversions...you mean to say someone who was born two days back and comes to my house and says hey, my allah is mightiest - you existing from last 3000 years is a false assumption - Accept it or get killed - is token of love? How literal clifton level dumb you have to be? All the Muslim rulers who tried to convert the population by force met their end in India - reason why Akbar and other contemporaries chose to live and exist alongside than to fight like trigger happy aaloo-bukhara members..
      4. Islam teaches concept of disbelivers, kaafirs and treatment for kaafirst and apostasy - how conveniently you hide that all these things are ingrained in the psyche of every child growing up in Pakistan.
      5. Loveday bhai, he says Pakistanis have no genetic connection with Turkey or Arab, rather Hindus. This no way discusses the modern time "hello how are you, myself Jinna from Pakistan" diplomatics of seeing every muslim as a
      6. Sorry to break your bubble - your ancestors were a scared bunch of cowards who converted at gunpoints - Accept my deen or get killed after seeing your mothers, daughters and sisters raped. Those who fought back - their progenies are known as Hindus in modern time! Most probably, you are also a genetic byproduct of one such incident....so sorry to break it to you man!

He shouldve termed his statement as well live in a desi society which is considered toxic by both hindus and muslims. When he said hindu society it was a unintentional attack on the hindu religion. Also wanted to share some insight on what you said. Islam was actually not spread by conquest in India but it was through trade and immigration. Once there was a substantial muslim population in hind muhammad bin qasim had been sent as a governer. He was actually accepted without war by the people but the wars started when the local rulers felt threatened. After a long time when the mughal empire started is when the hind came under muslim rule but that too was peaceful till the last days of the mughal empire. What you said is that islam was spread by conquest to india and the hindus lived in peace till then is actually an RSS and BJP tagline that hind was a great nation till the muslims conquered it and now its time to take it back. Just wanted to shed some insight on your stance. And also the indus valley civilization wasnt avlctually comprised of the hindu religion alone but many buddhist dwelt there as well.

      Lol
Islam didn't spread by force ?
      Convert me then .
Why aren't many people accepting Islam world wide ?
Why are you guys perceived as terrorist by many ?
Even Junaid himself claimed that many Muslims in Pakistan are leaving Islam .
Just check the killing done by khilji , taimoor , and your perceived abbu bin quasim.
Jizya and second class status made many individuals to convert.
In cases like indonesia too jizya played a role.
Their ruler converted to islam to have good relations with mughals so that trade flourish, who inturn made locals to convert in Indonesia.

      1. Wont convert you you wanna accept it accept if you dont you let me live ill let you
      2. Islam is the fastest growing religion behind atheism and this research is done by pew a reputable institute and it does not count religion by force of any kind in those polls.
      3. Why are we percieved as terrorist money. Before 911 nobody even knew what the hell Islam was and the US used it as a demon to unit the west by pumping trillions of dollars. They destabilized the middle east just for the money and hence produced political terrorist which have nothing to do with islam.
4.Please link me Junaid Bahis quote as to why people are leaving islam thanks. I will very well assume he said that in a context on how 3rd class islamic education has become in pakistan and that all the educated muslims move abroad while literal jaahils stay back and are spreading a perverted islam in Pakistan. Just letting you know half the islamic practices that go on here are looked down upon by the whole muslim world
      5. Like i said war was initiated after a foreign governer came to hind wars arnt pretty but islam wasnt spread then it had already begun to spread leading to 6.
      6. Islam was actually a much better choice presented to the lower castes of the hind run on caste system. Just study the caste system and you will realize why the poor and the desolate would convert to Islam. As for the jiziya muslims have to pay 2.2% from all types of income streams to the poor of their community while non-muslims obviously dont pay zakat. Hence the jiziya was instated as a state tax as if the jizya was not taken the. Muslims would show themselves and non muslims to avoid zakat payment.
      7. I dont know enough about indonesia to give any comment but i will study it. All i know there is a non muslim president in indonesia in a majority muslim country and the world first female prime minister so that is a whole case study in itself.
Your comment and your bigotry is appreciated if it comes from a place of genuine inquisition but if you want to spread hate please look else where
I await an educated response but if you starta troll i aint gonna waste another second on you 😂😂😂

now a days in India as well there is a very small population of idiots in Hindu religion which can't tolerate Muslims...in Muslims a large section(most of those from deobandi and other madarsaas) were already radicalised since decades...in Pakistan this radicalisation against non Muslims was always there...bhagwan Jaane ki Indian subcontinent ka future kis Taraf jaa raha hai.

Disagree with Ganjiswag about his point of view on hindu society. It irritates me as a muslim and as a Pakistani, when people disown their own identity just to please others. Instead of being diplomatic sir you should first learn your own identity.

58:58 if anyone is aware of the recent Reddit wall street fiasco over GameStop stocks, the whole game started from a sub-Reddit thread more like a joke, but the young people who started buying stocks as a joke just to bring down the wall street investors became millionaires overnight. It's all about finding the right opperunity and getting out at the right time.
