My response on Q1: I have stopped exposing my family to such relatives we are at peace since we did this. Q2: I regret being a Pakistani when I visit Pakistani embassy in Dubai , Riyadh. For the couple living in the US, you can workout a place that is halfway between the two cities and spend the weekend there.as you mentioned oregon and illinios are 7 hours apart so you can meet at a place which takes 3.5 hours to reach from each city.in this way you both will have to travel for 3-4 hours which is not much and you will have a lot more time to spend with each other

I'm living in United States and every time I have to renew mine, my brothers or my parents' passport. It takes at least a month just to submit an application because the portal doesn't even accept 2x2 photos. It's very rare that it accepts the photo in first attempt. Worst thing is it's been like this for over 4 years 😑
Suggestions regarding Question No.3: Over Sleeping habit The guy is having a medical problem. A normal human body requires 6-8 hours of sleep. Biologically, having no sleep or more sleep is unnatural. Maybe your body is requiring some nutrients which are missing, so a nutritionist might help. Also, you could also consult a psychiatrist. The reason is when you don't feel any energy, it's a sign or a hint from your body that it is being forced to do something it doesn't want. Hope it helps!

OVER SLEEPING HABIT: Nobody loves to wake up early in the morning and leave the comfortable bedding... You gotta force yourself to wake up. I set around 40-50 alarms with 1 minute gap consecutively that wake me up whenever I want to wake up. You can try doing the same and hopefully it will help you. When one is not even woke up properly, how would he think if it's his last day etc... He's still half sleeping, mind not working lol.
For the last question, Why don’t both of them try to apply at universities around Oregon and Illinois. Great universities around them too. They should work less travel time And more happy time together.
The sleep issue could be narcolepsy,could be sleep apnea,could be a severe B12 deficiency,could be a thyroid issue. I’m not a professional so please seek medical attention. B12 deficiency is common amongst south Asians and goes under the radar most of the times and it causes a lot of fatigue and brain fog amongst other problems and same thing with thyroid imbalances. Another tip would be to avoid using phones at least an hour before bed and keeping your room pitch black and on the colder side so you fall asleep fast and get deep sleep. Try cold showers too after you wake up if you find yourself tired after all that.

I used to sleep 11 hours a day before, I started fixing my schedule by fixing the hours of sleeping, I started by reducing my sleep by reducing one hour every 2 weeks, its really easy once you get used to 10 hours of sleep, reduce it to 9. Another tip would be to introduce caffeine in your mornings if you havent, not really a healthy option but works well for me

I have been to Barcelona embassy for my passport and my experience was too good with them they treated me and everyone around so well. And once i called madrid embassy to ask some information about visit visa for an afghani and the way he gave me all the information was too astonishing for me because i couldn't believe i am talking with a pakistani ambassador of a pakistan's office it was too good and so kind of him.

The system is really bad of Pakistan high commission in London. They never pick up the phone, if they do, they are so disrespectful and rude they don't know Urdu or English. But there was an online chat, that was helpful. They replied straightaway.

I have applied for study permit(Visa) for Canada. Six months are gone,no email,no call no update from embassy during these 6 months related to my application. Even I have applied through SDS system which gives you decision related your application in 20 to 30 working days according there official web. During this period they only called once for medical because last medical got expired just because of delay from their side. I mean what is this non sense. Someone should take action against them.

my take on the sleep issue question. Please get your sleep study done. There a medical condition called sleep apnea, this could be a reason for your lethargy and excessive sleep issue. Also, get a good note on your diet. Identify what you eat on the day when you were able to sleep 6 hours and felt good.
my cousin was in south African embassy. he was the only non punjabi staff. sorry to say all the staff was against him. they wanted him to go so they can ask for any other punjabi family member. atlast one day he had a fight because his patience was over the limit. The atmosphere was a typical Pakistani , where boss is the god, and same goes on according to the level of the staff. non of them were patriotic, everyone was busy in making money , or make other peoples life miserable. after 6 month of miserable life my cousin came back to Pakistan. a very very bad experience.
About embassy . I did experience very well behavior n support from Pakistan embassy Baghdad Iraq. Got reply by rmail and by phone as well. By the way very good people they r. I got help in corona situation .
the kid who mentioned the oversleeping habit, i highly recommend getting you general vitamin levels tested many students often have lower vitamin intake causing this oversleeping issue i suffered from it i would feel lethargic but it clearly didn't feel normal but once i take the right supplements i feel like i can take on the day with such vigor so students in general keep in check with the vitamins it will help you a lot your normal physician can easily guide you
The person who asked the last question: I'm familiar with a similar situation where the guy is studying in Oregon and the wife studies in California. She drives up to see him every few months. This is a long-term commitment and nobody should be forced to let go of the program. You should have thought about this before getting married. This is a fantastic opportunity for both of you to focus on self-betterment and think of the rewards you will reap 5 years down the line....when TWO PhDs together will make a power couple. You and your wife will be able to get a good job anywhere in the world together. You better not deprive her of this opportunity. Also I suspect her university program is better than yours. Citizens portal is very active for overseas Pakistanis, especially for these Federal depts like Nadra & MOFA high commissions and all. You just have to complain if you're facing anything this is why you can solve things for others as well, if they get continuous complaints for the same thing like 2 or 3 they take strong followup to solve that problem.
Best way to overcome the embassy thing is hard but doable. Ask a well respected person in your family if he knows someone in gov or something. You love each other and already have the confidence in each other to make it work. Plus, being separate can be a great enabler for each of you to do your best in your programs. Of course, you have to stay engaged with each other as much as possible. In this day and age, this is very possible. Starting a family though, I feel this should be done when right - not because your family wants it. Surely they want what is best for you.

Wife is European and she is cold to him. If you married in Europe, then usually girls have problem that why my husband send money back home and definitely gar Walo ki frmaishay and not spending enough money its own family and not going on holidays with his family and the reason is that I cannot afford holidays but when it comes to send money back home then they do send. First sleeping 6 hours is good at any time of day then, sleeping early at night and waking up early at morning is more essential. (9 pm - 4/5 am)
Flights from Oregon to Chicago aren't 7 hours. There is a time difference of 2 hours so the flight is actually 3-4 hours.
the airport in Eugene, OR is tiny so it's possible there aren't any direct flights to Chicago.

I have applied for study permit(Visa) for Canada. Six months are gone,no email,no call no update from embassy during these 6 months related to my application. Even I have applied through SDS system which gives you decision related your application in 20 to 30 working days according there official web. During this period they only called once for medical because last medical got expired just because of delay from their side. I mean what is this non sense. Someone should take action against them.

At Pakistan consulate in Dubai people start come early in the morning around 5:30 o'clock to get queue line and stand out side of consulate in hot summer about 3 to 4 hour it takes. so people can get there documentation work before closing time. First of all government of Pakistan should provide more staff and bigger consulate hall. Where they can accommodating large crowd fast

my take on the sleep issue question. Please get your sleep study done. There a medical condition called sleep apnea, this could be a reason for your lethargy and excessive sleep issue. Also, get a good note on your diet. Identify what you eat on the day when you were able to sleep 6 hours and felt good.

my cousin was in south African embassy. he was the only non punjabi staff. sorry to say all the staff was against him. they wanted him to go so they can ask for any other punjabi family member. atlast one day he had a fight because his patience was over the limit. The atmosphere was a typical Pakistani , where boss is the god, and same goes on according to the level of the staff. non of them were patriotic, everyone was busy in making money , or make other peoples life miserable. after 6 month of miserable life my cousin came back to Pakistan. a very very bad experience.

About embassy . I did experience very well behavior n support from Pakistan embassy Baghdad Iraq. Got reply by rmail and by phone as well. By the way very good people they r. I got help in corona situation .

the kid who mentioned the oversleeping habit, i highly recommend getting you general vitamin levels tested many students often have lower vitamin intake causing this oversleeping issue i suffered from it i would feel lethargic but it clearly didn't feel normal but once i take the right supplements i feel like i can take on the day with such vigor so students in general keep in check with the vitamins it will help you a lot your normal physician can easily guide you
