Making a Backgammon Board and Pieces

In this project I used Oak, Walnut and Heartwood to make the board. Oak and Walnut for the pieces.
The hardest part of the project was making the jig to cut the correctly. Many failed attempts here.
But in the end, I love how the heartwood works with the other wood.
A very satisfying project which has given me a piece of art for my home.
The pieces were my first project on my new cnc, a used Longmill CNC Mk1. I am really enjoying the cnc and you will see more projects coming from this machine. This cnc job was particularly difficult because it is a 2-sided job. I wanted to make an indent on the bottom of the pieces so they can stack.
