This is probably one of the most badass moments I’ve ever played and seen in a game. The song that plays during the arasaka breach is so damn good too.
The real big brain realization about this mission - it's largely fabricated. Johnny's memories are off after fifty years in a chip, and he's forgotten Morgan Blackhand, and that he's not actually the one responsible for the nuke plan. It's also why he's so strong, mostly remembering a more heroic "shot some dudes at arasaka tower" rather than anything detailed or accurate 50 years later. Check out Alt's dialogue in "Transmission" and the Cyberpunk 2020 pen-and-paper story if you don't believe me. Alt was right about Johnny in a way, still faking it to himself 50 years later.
I think, you dig too deep. Usually when studio works over some universe it takes much stuff for basis, but pretty often doesn't follow word by word, detail by detail. CDPR took the characters, their nature and setting, but they still got story to tell. Introduction of JS in the game has the aim to show not only how it all ended for him, but also demonstrate that he was extremely good in combat(as war veteran in the past), because for the rest of the game you can't show it, as he's just the digital ghost, following V on this path to the end.

I imagined something was off about it and it turned out to be a last minute change by the developers. Johnny was originally supposed to die a few years prior to the main history.
Despite the fact it may be a twisted false memory of Johnny's, one could also surmise that perhaps it still looks the same 50 years later because Johnny's attempt to create change failed, meaning Arasaka continued to have full control and influence over the city, rendering it to never change because the megacorps purposely wanted it that way, because it benefits them the most. So I started the trial for this game a couple days ago and after a couple hours decided I needed to buy it. I wasn’t sure how I felt in Act 1 with all the long dialogue (I know you can skip it) but it grew on me and I was captivated with the storytelling. They told the story really well. Even though we aren’t with Jackie for long, what happens to him, you feel the impact. When this part started I literally said “what the hell is happening now?” Then I saw it was Keanu Reeves character. The introduction for that character was PERFECT! I was so captivated once we got in the chopper. That reload style is amazing. The music was perfect (especially when it kicks in at 7:53.) I logged off right as Act 2 began and I’ll tell you what, I’m glad I stuck it out because I can tell this game is going to be as crazy, if not crazier than Act 1. I’m still getting used to the guns, I find it’s hard for me to aim accurately sometimes, and the driving is awful but this story is amazing!
Bro samee , i just got the game yesterday I honestly didn't like the first act and got so bored until the final mission or the heist was sick and Jackie's death caught me off guard cuz i was like surely the wouldn't kill an important character very early in the game and it broke me and when i played Johnny's mission (this mission) it was just freaking incredible. The music, the gun, the reloading animation and keanu reeves iconic voice, easily one of the best missions i have ever played in any game , and the story started to get really interesting now , can't wait to start act 2!
I can’t wait to play cyberpunk. One thing that makes me a lil sus about Keanu reeves part is that it only took them 15 days to do all of his parts 😳. The time might have been doubled but compared to roger Clark in rdr2, it took them 7 years to do the mocap and voice acting.
@@thefreshprincer5587 Witcher 3 has a disappointing launch as well. Just give it time. This isn’t your regular copy and pasted call of duty game. Games like this take time.
I know that there was a lot of drama around the release of Cyberpunk, and a lot of it was warranted. It probably should have been delayed another year or two ... but this scene is still peak gaming regardless.
man even after 2 years i still think about this mission, this little chunk of cyberpunk is some of the greatest fun i’ve had in gaming in the last few years. This mission sits up there with the Farcry 3 Marijuana farm as some of the most wild but memorable video game missions.
3:51 Rogue, this may not be cub scouts, but it sure as hell is real life; collateral damage is going to turn the public against you and defeat your whole message
I wonder if that little “See ya in the next life” optional response was a nod to Point Break when Patrick Swayze yelled those same line to Keanu after the final jump
It made you feel not just like John Wick, but like neo as well during the mission where they attack that building and he says to Morpheus, I need guns lots of guns
In my mind I fictionalized Johnny Silverhand as an incarnation of Neo, taking place after (or before) the Matrix Trilogy in an alternative reality. Truly a masterpiece of a video game. Notice also the Ourobouros Tattoo on Silverhands right hand...
Don't get me wrong... When this game came out, in the state that it came out... All of the hate that I got was totally deserved. What stings is that we know from the past that CD project read is better than this, they've made better than this and their practices before the release of cyberpunk we're very consumer friendly. But we're really stings about this whole situation is the fact that every single video, every review, every news article about cyberpunk is about the glitches and the graphical issues. They say nothing of the awesome story, the amazing writing, and the depth of the world design and in-game storytelling. The game looks and performs so much better than it did in December, and I hope that the game continues on the path that it's on currently. Hopefully, within a couple years, this game will be remembered as the classic it should be remembered as, and not the glitch ridden borderline broken product we received at lunch.
It's called 'The Rebel Path' on Spotify but unfortunately the string instruments are edited in for the combat and aren't really prominent in the full song :(

Bro samee , i just got the game yesterday
I honestly didn't like the first act and got so bored until the final mission or the heist was sick and Jackie's death caught me off guard cuz i was like surely the wouldn't kill an important character very early in the game and it broke me and when i played Johnny's mission (this mission) it was just freaking incredible. The music, the gun, the reloading animation and keanu reeves iconic voice, easily one of the best missions i have ever played in any game , and the story started to get really interesting now , can't wait to start act 2!
As soon as he opens up the door to see the chopper, I knew shit was about to hit the fan.
One of my favorite Video Game missions EVER !
I can’t wait to play cyberpunk. One thing that makes me a lil sus about Keanu reeves part is that it only took them 15 days to do all of his parts 😳. The time might have been doubled but compared to roger Clark in rdr2, it took them 7 years to do the mocap and voice acting.
The campaign is way shorter for cyberpunk but Johnny is literally a second protagonist
It took them 15 days to make motion capture. Voice recording took them much longer.
@@Phea7 yeah I thought I had the times wrong 😅
I wish cyberpunk was as long as witcher 3 man what a disappointment, still a good game though.
@@thefreshprincer5587 Witcher 3 has a disappointing launch as well. Just give it time. This isn’t your regular copy and pasted call of duty game. Games like this take time.
Damn, its been a long time since I watch Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay and this gotta be my favourite the soundtrack was straight up badass
Spider Murphy is adorable.
I'd prefer a whole game based around Johnny because this was B O P I N
This is the mission that made me go full revolver build. The satisfaction of two shotting everybody while swinging a cool as revolver spoke to me.
I could not believe how bad ass this was when I discovered this first hand playing the game and then I had to see if there was a video with it.
So this is apparently in 3 years, huh.
The Cello version of the Rebel Path is so good
Damn I got a black screen at this part of the game and I thought it is normal 😂😂
"jesus, Johnny, you've gone off the deep end. And thats coming' from a chairjock."
They basically did the "the game was rigged from the start" intro TWICE and i fucking love it
I love this introduction to Johnny silverhand it’s really awesome and tons of fun
3:51 Rogue, this may not be cub scouts, but it sure as hell is real life; collateral damage is going to turn the public against you and defeat your whole message
"Gaming journalist playing Cyberpunk 2077" 😆
Possibly the best intro of a character ever.
I wonder if that little “See ya in the next life” optional response was a nod to Point Break when Patrick Swayze yelled those same line to Keanu after the final jump
This animation of reload pistol's Johnny..... so fucking awesome
Awe Kerry was so hurt and sad :((
what's the song that starts playing at 00:42 ?
chippin in
Link to full song heard at the beginning ruclips.net/video/rOdnEojy8MY/видео.html
Never felt like I was playing through a cutscene like a I did in this part.
I literally left my controller down while the music was playing. Song is such a banger. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
guns and music are what keep me going
2:22 Laugh or not but this advice literally changed my life when I was 15 and playing this game for the first time in 2020 XD
music is so damn good
It made you feel not just like John Wick, but like neo as well during the mission where they attack that building and he says to Morpheus, I need guns lots of guns
This game is so fucking good
The sheer fucking beet you feeling like one of the greatest... and you wił be the greatest..
why nobody wait for the band to finish the song, its like the best song of this game. Chippin in
In my mind I fictionalized Johnny Silverhand as an incarnation of Neo, taking place after (or before) the Matrix Trilogy in an alternative reality.
Well said
They gave us the best soundtrack, best gun, best moveset and best character for one goddamn mission and then dipped
05:25 how can i find this song on spotify?
It's called 'The Rebel Path' on Spotify but unfortunately the string instruments are edited in for the combat and aren't really prominent in the full song :(
Pretty sure you can fin the in-game version on RUclips though if you look it up
Its called johnny silverhand theme on the ost not sure if you’ll find this version on spotify its like 12 minutes long
Anybody remember the glitch of having the ballad of buck ravers riff stuck on repeat?
BTW, this "Chippin’ In" on begin is not the one from gameplay 2018?" Its not Refused.
I'm trying to find this version but they are all different do you have any link to this version?
