Glad you liked them. I am happy for the popular actual plays because they have gotten a lot of people into the hobby but they have also given some new players unrealistic expectations for DMs.
Very good advice here, NatBlue. I don't know if there's anything worse than a DM running a module, and needing to stop and read the section their running, during the session. Grinds my gears! I love the modules, but homebrew is where my heart is. I love the players' input and integrating their hometowns and ideas into the world I've been building for 10 years now. Keep DMing! It gets easier, it gets better, and it's so rewarding!
I love homebrew. The main reason I am running a module right now is just time constraints. Modules are so much easier to prep quickly, but you do still need to prep. It is frustrating when the DM doesn't know the section they're running and it is frustrating when you under prep and become that DM.

Honestly, you could expand #9 to Incorporeal undead. They are pretty much all deceptively hard
