I think people are toxic enough to kick people that didn't match the surges. If you got a squad I doubt it'll make too big of a difference but for people that have to rely on pugs feel they need to match surges due to the gatekeeping nature of gamers
What are you even talking about? The surges were a 25% damage buff to one element. Not using that element was throwing, and kinetics were dead. Now, every weapon has that plus 25% damage permanently, including kinetics, so you can run what is actually best for that encounter or whatever you want to run

Now they just need to remove that -5 level bs. Spend all this time power grinding for what? All bosses still have that crazy 150% health buff. Even with an optimal team and load out stuff like ghost of the deep take like an extra 3-4 phases.

We have master content for a reason. Us no life’s can clap any raid boss fine, but when we play with our non no life friends who’s best gun for DPS is slideshot bipod crux’s and we are barely unable to pass warpriest’s health check after all 4 phases then it’s not a fun time. Normal raids shouldn’t be restricted to the non-casuals.

You dont have to be a "no life" to get good weapons so if you play a slideshot crux than you are the problem and not the game. And what do you mean by "Everyone agrees?" all Raid players i talk to are absolutly fine with that.

From MossyMax to Aegis to Fallout to all of their moms for goodness sake. A normal raid is not endgame. A master raid is, a solo dungeon is, a low man raid is a speedrun is. As all these player I mentioned would also agree. Raids aren’t just Grindy content that anyone who’s a try hard in the game will enjoy but outside they’re meh. Like a GM, if a causal never does a GM they aren’t missing part of the destiny experience, if a causal never does a raid they ARE missing a part of the destiny experience. They’re not some grindy gun play only oriented level. They’ve got intriguing lore, implications and MANY MANY MANYYYYY players from all gaming background love raids and say the destiny raids are just on another level and they’re right. They shouldn’t have to be end game due to damage checks of boss HP. You shouldn’t need to grind to have an apex predator or the best rolled exotics for every scenario or a heavy weapon with a god roll for every scenario to just play the game. Puzzles as a complicated endgame are fantastic, part of why the praise for Salvations edge is so high, the bosses don’t even have high health bars compared to other raids. But the mechanics are unique and complicated but aren’t gated behind good gear rather a good brain. If you get the mechanics you will get by in the encounter.

I did every Raid that was in rotation since TFS launch with lfg and the people there were completly normal players without the best of the best weapons and rolls and we cleared the Raids without any struggles. But yeah i know the D2 community loves to complain and hide behind their "expert-streamer-top-players". I mean whatever Datto or Aztecross say is always the truth and shouldnt be questioned right?
explosive payload scouts with incandescent shotguns on solar supers pair well,i call it the Aoe Solar stun build..great for dmg stunning/health/enemy clearing "might even stun champions ?"
So glad they removed this. Now they just need to not force us to spec into certain weapon types because there are so many types of weapons the game is still discouraging you from using what's not in your artifact... We have allot of class freedom with prismatic why limit our guns still?

Reducing prerequisites to get into endgame pve will probably be better and easier for most pve players too I imagine

It's would actually be -20% . A 25% increase would make the total damage rate 125. 100 is 4/5ths of 125, or 80%, so the reduction is 20%.

They still need to revert the up to 150% buffs to all enemy health (including bosses) they gave to normal difficulty raids.
