- Create a Working Sidebar Menu - Adobe Xd Tutorial
Working with the prototype tab of Adobe Xd to create a sidebar menu that slides in from the side. Perfect for simulating a sidebar menu for a client. I will teach you how to use the basic tools of Xd and how to make a nice sidebar menu design. Repeat grid is a really cool feature we will be using in the video. Want more Adobe Xd? Let me know with a comment.

Great tutorial! I ran into an issue when you were placing the icons on the Repeat Grid, as it did in your video, it linked all the icons together. How do you get them to be independent of one another?
it's not independent, you can select multiple images to put and it was like to repeat them
so dragging the first image would make it on all of them now to the independent part starting from the second, the program automatically adds it in the row as if you select the two images together in the first step
and so on
so again
Select multiple images one time and they will be ordered
they will be sorted according to their sort in file explorer so make sure they are sorted correctly
or put them individually starting from the second repetition
While clicking you might have missed ctrl+G to group all together. try in that way, it will solve the issue.
nicely explained! thanx buddy :)
This is a few years later, but you can add colours to the left Assets. That then allows you to bulk update all shapes linked to that colour. Typography too can be managed in this way.
Love the video and how you get right into it. That's the key :). Only thing is my version of XD (not free) does not have those options. My version is limited in choices versus what you highlighted.
Great tutorial thanks for your work! if you could throw any hex references into your description it would be super handy, cheers!
Thanks man!

Can a sidebar over a scroll-able art-board be implemented?
If the user had scrolled somewhere in the middle of the art-board and then clicks on the menu to open the sidebar, if we implement it in this way the transition to the new art-board will show the top of the art-board again.
thankyou
