Buttom line, MB got us 1 playoff and 1 play in. The culture is better and performance is not. Even Malik had played I'm the last 5 games in regular season we will still be a play in team.
@@reedrodz75they were 2 games worse in a much more difficult west. Losing Monk and Huerter hurt. I dont assign all the blame on Brown for that.
In Kings Traumatic Stress Syndrome: I get frustrated again, and think they need to do CMB right. In reality: It's business negotiations in pro sports and I think they'll strike a deal.
I think the Kings will get it done. It would be completely idiotic to NOT get it done. The players like him. The franchise desperately needs stability. MB's signing makes the organization look good to the league and other free agents, esp Malik Monk. Get it done, Vivek! Don't F around and get cute. Get it done!!!

Yeah, I like 3 additional years tacked on. Give me 9 and incentives that can make it higher than that

These coaching negotiation will make free agents want to stay clear of the Kings given the history of coaching changes the team has gone through. If Vivek is balking with the coach, he also needs to think about Monte since he's the one responsible for providing the talent for MB to work with.
If they quibble over paying him in line with the new market (if), then do they really want him? I think the roster has significant flaws and yet he’s done a great job with it. Monte is still here, so his handpicked coach should be retained too.

Typical Kings fan fire him for a middish season. Also typical Kings fan let’s give Walton one more season he looked good for the last 3 games of a 27-55 campaign.
I’d give Mike 45 million over 5 years, and a 4 million per year bonus if he wins a title. If you can win a title in sac you deserve a key to the city, a statue, a banner, free food for life, etc. Pay the man!
He did not get the Sacramento Kings into the playoffs and he is asking for an extension, really? I wonder what your boss would say if you ask for a pay raise after not completing your work.

This is horrible extension talks already, we need to make those adjustments to our roster as soon as possible. Mike Brown is worth it tho.

The owner is paying the previous GM and HC. Who cares... It's the owner's money. I'd only give a two year prove it incentives. Owner doesn't have to do anything.

There is alot of good coaches and many winning finals. Brown has not won yet😮

This is all a decoy. They will sign him, and make that the big move of the offseason. Then, when they don’t bring any new players they will say, well we had a productive offseason because we negotiated a deal with Brown.

a 3 year extension for a coach who ranked 22/30 in defense which btw is this coach's specialty is why Sacramento Kings will always be the LOL of the NBA..
btw the offense gameplan is either chuckin up the 3 or go through Fox and Sabonis and then chuck up the 3..

Yeah, I think they'd bump him up for 24/25 or just give him a new 3-year deal. We don't have full details.
The orginal deal was: 22-23, 23-24, 24-25, 25-26 (mutual option).
He's basically saying, forget that 25-26 year. Lets talk about a new deal because I'm now entering the final year.
I’m all for paying Mike Brown…. But a guaranteed 10 million is a little crazy. 8-9 with maybe more if he hit’s bonuses.

Mike brown will coach this team to 1st and possible 2nd round KOs. Eventually the kings will need to roll the dice on a fresh mind or proven championship coach. No more retreads. Respect to brown for helping the kings get back To relevance, but I don’t follow the kings for playoff KOs. I want the kings to win a ship. Not to be in nba purgatory.
